Getting new xbox 360 concern:

First time posting here sorry if this is wrong section. I am gonna get a new 360 that has 500 GB.

What do ppl usually put in there that holds so much GB?

How do you transfer stuff from computer to xbox 360?

and 1 final question...Suppose i have games and saved data stored within the 360's 500 gb. Then I get a red ring of death or xbox 360 breaks. Is all that data lost?

My main concern is when my Xbox 360 needs to download an update to play an old xbox game or even a xbox 360 game. Is this a valid concern?

 

New Kinect (720) nexus or whatever the name

I have a concern about the new xbox being able to see lips and fingers, will the new kinect be compatible with the current xbox 360. Please dont leave us out of the, new kinect. If so maybe someone can make an in-between multi-kinect buffer box. Gee

If you download a lot of games and DLC it will eventually use up a lot of that space. It just depends on how much you download and if you keep it instead of deleting it.

What "stuff" are you wanting to transfter from PC to 360? Xbox files are not meant to be seen by PC. So it's not possible to transfer Xbox data between the 2.

If you were to get the red ring, or something like that, you can just move your hard drive to a new console. If something were to happen to the hard drive, you can redownload any content you've purchased for free from your download history. Game saves are
not recoverable, so you would either need to store them on the cloud (you need a gold subscription to do so) or you would need those backed up on a flash drive.

the hardrive that comes with the 500 gb xbox 360 is that inside or attachable?

cause i have a external hardrive that holds 30 gb that i connected to my old xbox 360. Can that connect to new xbox 360?

how would you move the 500 gb hardrive to a new console i assume its inside?

I think the best thing to do then is get games on the 500 gb part and use external for game saves?

You can put music, videos, and pictures on an external device and view them through the console. I'm not sure if you can actually transfer them to the console though.

With the newer 360s, there is a little slot on the bottom of the console that you slide the hard drive into.

You can attach your external hard drive to the new console and it will work the same as it does now.

There's not a cord that connects a 360 to a PC to transfer files. You would need to save them to a flash drive or external hard drive.
