getting lots of error messages with new update to media player preview (0xc1010107, ...

When i try playing a video and it works it will usually give me this one:

'please try again later 0xc1010107 (0xc00d36c3)'

usually tho with files of the same extension over half are coming back with:

This item was encoded in a format thats not supported(0xc00d5212)

Media Player will not play music from my PC

I can search through all of my music and different artists, but when I go to play a song it will not work.

Error code 0xc1010107 (0xc00d36c3)

Media Player and MPEG4

I setup a DLNA server on my Synology DS413 NAS. The Xbox One sees the server and the content that I put out there (MPEG 4 format) and was playing them. Then all of a sudden it stopped playing the files and gave me the following error code: 0xc1010107
(0xc00d36c3). The error message said to Try Again Later. I've restarted the media server, reindexed it, restarted the Xbox One, but the videos simply won't play anymore. This has all happened within the hour of initial setup. I don't understand how it
can play a video one minute but won't play that same video the next minute. Thoughts or ideas?

I'm getting the same on most video files.

Looks like a lot of codecs are unsupported.

Have to keep my media center

 

have not gotten any MKVs to play yet

edit: have not tried usb but DLNA MKV is not working

 

I can confirm *SOME* mkvs will stream properly over DLNA... however, most of them get the "encoding format" error as described above. It seems to be completely arbitrary because all my video files are the same format, yet some will play and some will not

 

I'm having the same issue. Some of my mkv's do work, but a lot give the format not supported message (0xc005212)

 

Maybe some of the sound codec's aren't supported? like DTS vs x264. That's beyond me though I'm just guessing

 

im gettin same on usb , when you look at video on dashboard explaining updates the media plaer does not say preview is that the the reason ?

 

Looks like you nailed it. The problem indeed looks like its linked to the audio encoding. I compared seven different mkv files, four that would not play and three that played. The four that failed were all DTS audio, and all three working files were AC-3.

So it appears DTS audio format is not supported at the moment.

 

MKV vids with DTS audio won't work for me either. This should be a simple update for media player app I would think. Crossing my fingers they include as many audio formats as possible.

 

Ok guys problem solved.....well a way around it.

Xbox one will not play any DTS files. You can get a download called Bigasoft total video converter.

I have just tried this and it worked. I converted the audio to ac3 and it worked first time.

 

this even happens to me with MP3s........MP3s! audio!!

The media player doesn't seem to pick on videos, so much as the mp3s.

the media player only tends to play one of two songs then errors out.

 

Media player did work perfectly and in a recent update, they fix the folders issues, but now, nothing works. All I get is "Cant play file, try again later". Doesn't matter what I try....

 

I can also confirm that it is a DTS audio problem but it can be worked around very easily with a free program called PopCorn MKV AudioConverter.

Install it and it will ask if you want to also install MKVToolNix. Once installed just select the source MKV movie file and tick the box on the top right "Convert DTS Tracks". Also tick "convert to Dolby Digital". You have a few other options in here to
keep the DTS file too. This is up to you but I've not found a way of changing ausio tracks in the Media Player. (If anyone has let me know).

You then select file destination (Use a drive that's different to source). HIT RUN!

This will fairly quickly (10mins on my PC with a SSD drive) convert the DTS to Dolby Digital and Remux it back into the MKV to create a new video file with audio that will play.
