Getting logged out of my Xbox account only when in game

I know that Xbox has addressed login issues in the last day or so, but I am still having them, and they seem to be different from others who I have read tweets from.

Oct 26th - my Xbox did the latest update, and I checked today and it is still up to date. I moved games from my Xbox One S to my external hard drive to make room for RDR2. Played for 6 hours straight without issues.

Oct 27th - 4 hours into RDR2 gameplay, I randomly get a system message saying "Bye !" as my console had logged me out, for whatever reason. Get kicked to the menu page. I hit the guide button, and I am logged back in. Reload the game, about 10 minutes
later, it kicks me again with the same message. Turn off Xbox, reload, kicked again. I unplugged my Xbox from the wall, gave it 10 minutes, plugged it back in, had no issues until 4 hours after that. I got an "installation error" message, which was weird since
nothing was being installed. Shut down the Xbox, unplugged my hard drive. Googled around, and I saw that some people said uninstalling their profile helped - I did that, and played for 2 more hours before turning off the Xbox for the night. (It was on this
day on Twitter that Xbox Support said they fixed login issues)

Oct 28th - Logged on, played RDR2 for all of 10 minutes before I was kicked with the "bye !" system message. Did a soft reset (press and hold power button until it shuts off), went through system setting to "full shutdown". That helped for about
30 mins before I got the "bye" system message again.

The thing is, I've been sitting on my Xbox home page for about 20 minutes and I'm not being logged out. It only happens while in game. I don't know what else to do - I really don't want to factory reset my Xbox because that just seems so troublesome, and
I'm nervous I'll lose data (my Xbox hard drive is not full, only about 60% full at the moment). Does anyone have any other suggestions for me?

Xbox 360 Issue HELP!

The other day, I was on my Xbox 360 and tried downloading the WWE Network app when my console froze. I restarted the system and logged back into my Xbox Live account and now every time I do log back in, my system freezes on the dashboard. It only does this when I log into my Xbox Live account. If I skip login, I do not have any issues.

Could someone help me please?!

 

A Question about Call of Duty Classic

I recently downloaded Call of Duty Classic to my Xbox 360 but for some reason whenever I start up the game from the "My Games" it automatically instantly logs me out all the time. When I get to the main screen of the game it tells me that I need to sign in to unlock achievements, play multiplayer and a bunch of other stuff. When I do sign in from the main screen it restarts the game and then instantly logs me out again repeating the process. I have an Xbox Gold account to so I don't think it has anything to do with having Xbox Live. Also another question I have is when I sign in on my Xbox 360 to my Xbox Live account in the top right corner it shows your emblem along with a rotation of my account name, achievements numbers, money I have on my account and my email address linked to the account. But for some reason it doesn't show my email address when it's rotating through and instead just shows blank nothing until the next thing comes up in the rotation.

Also, does this only happen with RDR2 or does it happen with every game?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. By any chance, do you ever get the message that you were signed in elsewhere? How are your network statistics? Also, does this only happen with Red Dead 2?

My network connection is fine. I have tested it several times through this as well. I never get a message saying I was logged in somewhere else. I am going to boot up ESO and see if it happens to me through that. The frustrating thing is my husband has been
using his own Xbox One in the same house to play Assassin's Creed without any issues - that's why I can tell it's not a Live issue or a connection issue.

If this is a game issue - what do I do?

 

It's not a Live issue - I've been logged out of Live while playing a game before, and it doesn't give me the "bye (gamertag)!" message. It will just tell me I've been logged out of Xbox Live. So it's a profile thing.

I am testing another game currently. So far, so good.

Packet loss: 0%

MTU: 1480

Latency: 49 ms

Wireless Strength: 100%

again - my husband is using his Xbox, further from the modem than mine, and his is fine.

I've been running ESO since my last comment without issue - in fact it's smoother than ever. So I'm starting to think it's a game-specific issue. What do I do? Uninstall and reinstall? What if that doesn't help?

 

I'm playing ESO and am getting kicked from their servers, but am still logged into Live and my profile. I think it's a RDR2 issue, so what do I do now?

It is starting to look like a RDR2 issue to me as well. I have seen other posts with similar issues, all referencing RDR2 as well. The first step would be to uninstall and reinstall the game as you mentioned earlier. Another thing to try, if possible, would
be trying to play the game on your second Xbox one to see if the issue persists.

I seem to have solved the issue. I installed RDR2 onto the "home xbox" and have been playing off my own Xbox without issue for half a day or so now.

Strange glitch, in my opinion - but at least I can play! Thank you for your help.
