Getting lag spikes but no change in ping

It could be a few different things, but let's get some more details to take a closer look. Does the issue happen when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• NAT Type

That information will help us determine the next best steps. Thanks!

Yes my isp supports ipv6. My speed test is 860 download speed,890 upload, with 5 ping. I shouldnt be having serious lag spikes every 60 seconds

BF was buggy a few months ago but is perfectly playable now, only ever had a single lag spike in Titanfall (for an hour my ping went from the normal 33 to 50+) and haven't played CoD.

I Isp coming tomorrow and xbox networking calling so they can figure mine out im having the same problem im thinking its a modem issue only because my tv is freaking out to fiber 80 down 30 up ping is 9 but I will get lag spikes up to 250 and that's doing
a fat ping test to google while playing

Sorry about such a late reply ArminatorX, it's been a crazy week at uni.

Anyways, back to business. I've tried the ping test with two of my friends both as party leader and not with the following results.

Note: All three members are performing the ping test at the same time.

1 time - ping to google was 30ms - 38ms, once I lagged out it went to 40ms. This seems normal and sometimes spikes higher than this even whilst not lagging out. I was not host of the party.

1 time - when my buddy was hosting the party, I lagged out his ping went from 20-25 to 60ms and 91ms respectively.

This is a one time occurrence out of the 30+ times I lagged out while performing the ping test.

One other person was also in the party performing the ping test. He was not host. He did not experience any fluctuations or anything when I lagged out.

After about about a half hour of me constantly lagging out, my ping time never changed and with the exception of one or two times out of about 30 neither did my friends.

Are there any other suggestions because I'm really out of ideas?
