Getting kicked off Xbox Live while playing GTA V

Whenever I play GTA V, and this is just with GTA V, I keep getting disconnected from Xbox Live. There will be a pop up that says "Disconnected from Xbox Live" and I have to reconnect. Now, I have absolutely no problems reconnecting with Xbox Live and after
that I can play for a few minutes before it does it again. This also happens whether I'm playing single player or online. I'm at a house and share connection with a friend that also plays Xbox with me. Although whenever I play other games such as Black Ops
2 or Dead Island online with him neither of us have any problems whatsoever. Please help!

It could be a network issue. Try resetting all your network equipment (routers, modems ect.). If that doesn't work try recovering your gamer tag again.

While playing Halo 4 (and only on halo 4) in matchmaking or campaign I will randomly get kicked off of XBox Live and can sign back in right after getting kicked off. My NAT says it's Open and have never had this issue before. But noticed that it
only happens on Halo 4. Anyone had the same problem? How to fix?? Thanks.

 

some reason over night my Xbox forgot my WiFi password.......... if its related or not dunno.......

-depending on the strength of your connection, more than one person sharing the same router/access can slow down the connection.

Do you play public or Invite Only? It might be other players' connections messing you and your friend up. I'd also check your NAT type. If it's STRICT or MODERATE, that can also be your problem. You want an OPEN NAT for the best connection, but if it is
either of the other two, then that could be the cause of the disconnecting.

 

GTA is more demanding of a connection. Your sharing with your friend is causing the problem.
