Getting hit offline

It's good that you've already blocked, muted, and avoided the person (you may also want to file a complaint against them for system tampering), but the issue is that this isn't something that's going on via Microsoft's servers.

In order to stop a DDoS successfully you need to contact your Internet Service Provider so they can give you a new IP Address. The reason this person is still able to kick you offline is because you're still on the same IP Address and they are able to continue
to send large amounts of data to your connection to overwhelm your router/modem which in turn kicks you offline for a short period of time.

I'm not sure if you've read this FAQ (Step 3) written by another fellow Ambassador, but it's worth the read, tells you the tell tale signs of
a DDoS and how to stop it from happening.

Please send a report to the Xbox live enforcement team by viewing the persons profile, select file complaint, and file the report for system tampering. If not, and you want immediate action, get reliable proof of this individual hitting you offline, and
bring it to the FBI cyber crime unit here ---->

My experience shouldn't be ruined because Microsoft cannot take action and hasn't since 2007.

@Partner you don't know who I'm talking about nor dealing with. He is well known in the Halo community for booting you no matter what. As soon as you get on H4 you'll get hit. I know what he is using to do so and yet I get jerked around and told to block
and avoid? THAT'S NOT SOLVING THE ISSUE. It is sweeping it under the rug and hoping people forget about him.

Have you filed a report??? After you do that, please BLOCK communications and do your part to AVOID the user. No need to play with the people you don't want to. It's really easy to stay away. If you need more help, just ask.... Maybe reset your
Modem/router.... DDosing is a serious offence so let the investigation take place.... GOOD LUCK

If you feel that someone is doing any illegal like trying to boot someone offline, please report them via their profile on xbox.

You may also want to go on your router configuration page and enable "Stop Denial Of Service Attack", in which, if you are flooded with data from 1 source, it will block that source. So you wont be booted offline by anyone.

But as Smwutches stated, you shouldnt call out gamers on the forums as it is not allowed.
