    Getting hit off


    Okay so I was playing yesterday and this kid hit me offline name Shanks 23rd so I decided to get off to see if he stopped he didn't I haven told been able to sign on since 2:00am I have tried to reset my router but then I learned tht the internet is still
    working for everyone except my console I can play offline but nothing's else so then I tried resetting my Xbox and now it's saying internet problem so i don't know wat to do

    Keep Getting "Hit Off"

    Hi, I was playing a black ops 2 match a day ago. And this guy sent me a message saying I was going to get "hit off" xbl for a week. Now I didn't take it seriously. But then about 15 minutes after this message. I got disconnected from xbox live. for about
    5 minutes. And every time I get on Xbox I get disconnected about 15 minutes from playing my games. It's really ruining my experience and it's annoying. I've called my internet provider and everything. And still nothing. BTW his gamertag is: OnlyDGK
    If you could please do something about this it would be awesome! Thanks. Also he was using very obscene words against me. Please take action against this form of Cyberbullying.

    You would need to contact your ISP since he's hitting your internet, not Live. Also, calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

    Hey mate, firstly file a complaint on the user through the console under system tampering:

    Also when this is happening have you done a hard reset on your router? If not unplug the router from the wall from 5 mins and hopefully you will be given a new IP address:

    Greetings! :D



    What I recommend you to do is, to call up your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and request for your IP address to be changed (which they can do for you) and then whoever is DDoSing you, won't be able to as he / she will no longer have your IP. You may also
    want to mention the situation to them, and they may investigate it further.



    I am afraid the only, and best, thing you can do is the following:

    First of all you may want to
    File a Complaint     of which once you have done that, to prevent further communication of any sort and to minimize the chances of you meeting up with the player again,

    Mute, Block and Avoid     the player. When you file a complaint it sends a report up to the Policy Enforcement Team (PET) and they will investigate the complaint and take the appropriate action they feel necessary.



    Understanding that you're a little weary of the idea of if it will work or not, or anything like that, I would recommend viewing the

    How Does The Complaint System Work?     page where everything regarding complaints being filed is explained.



    You may also want to have a quick glance of the
    DoS Attacks | Denial of Service     support page where there is a ton of info on a situation like yours.

    Too add on, it isn't allowed to 'Name and Shame' on the forums, as it is against the
