    hello, i am currently experiencing a bad time on xbox live. I am getting so many hate messages because of my gamertag. I need to get it changed but dont have any money to change it. Its gotten to the point were i dont want to play on xbox live anymore

    Are people teasing you about your GT? Is that why you're asking for a name change?

    Technically they are correct. You could have someone file a complaint on your account and the enforcement team will decide whether or not to give you a forced name change. There is no guarantee they will give you one.

    Well the good news I have the cure for all your problems.

    Report the said people and set contacts to friends only

    And block them

    Problem solved

    If that isn't satisfactory

    Then stop spending time on shaddy sites like 7sins and read the end of the said template

    The 7sins forums disavowed the template as fraudulent

    Fyi what the template didn't tell you is

    A it's social engineering template

    Also forced name changes only happen with gamertags that are in violation of the terms of use

    It is a black mark on your record

    B even with a forced change you do not pick your own name you get a randomized name

    Funny thing is you can search forums and you guys use the same line with the exact same result

    And if I still have the link I would post you the xbl pet teams answer

    There is no free change and this is only for inquiryabout suspension not name changes

    You are better off not spending or looking up shaddy Moder websites for illegal templates

    [/quote]That's misinformation. The only case where a forced-name-change takes place is if the gamertag breaks Code of Conduct or Terms of Use rules.

    No, you cannot change your Gamertag for free.

    If you are receiving constant hate messages from another user which are to a degree that offend you then you should File A Complaint on their Gamertag Profile and choose the most appropriate option which fits your report, in this case Text and Voice Communications.
    And then choose the Block Communication option when viewing a message this person has sent you and you will no longer receive messages from that gamertag.
