Getting GTA V updates offline? Download on USB Drive...

My XBOX 360 does not get online, for whatever reason. I don;t use it much anymore except for GTA V. Someone told me and I have read that you can download the files off the internet, put them on a USB drive and/or CD and plug it into your XBOX. This will
allow you to get all the DLC and updates Rockstar has given out so far.

My search attempts on Google are impossible, anything with GTA V kicks out a bunch of crap I really didn't search for.

Was hoping someone here knew.

I am looking for the location of these files for the XBOX 360 update and the directions if need be.

Are you using an original Xbox 360 hard drive, or a 3rd party hard drive?

You could try to download the game to a secondary storage device like a USB Flash Drive and see if that works. To do this, you'll need a USB Flash Drive with at least 16GB of space. You'll want to remove your primary storage device and format the secondary
storage device (USB Flash Drive) and then download your profile onto it. After that's done, you'll want to try to re-download the game and see if that works.

You should also note that games on demand downloads will only work properly if the country/region of your LIVE account and where you're physically located are matching. So for example, having an account in the Untied States but living in the United Kingdom
can cause downloading problems producing this sort of error.

files keep getting corrupted on my hard drive

same here, my gta v updates and dlc keep on getting corrupted along with other game files

you can get xbox 360 update from xbox.com with a usb, but for gta5 updates, you need your console to be connected to the internet. you can get the update from the market place to download the update from xbox.com, but you will still need your console to
be connect to the internet.

Try going to Rockstar Games and look for "GTA: V". There should be a section there called "Downloads" or "Patches". See if this takes you to a DL for the patches/updates. Works like
this for the PC, so maybe it will be similar for GTA: V.

Everything on my hard drive is games saves, updates and the mandatory GTA V install. It is only a 20gb drive and I don't really want to pay for a bigger drive.

I already have several USB drives with games and saves on.

Are you able to use your PC to download the offline update at http://www.xbox.com/system-update-usb?

If so, you can unpack the downloaded update to an USB drive and use that on your console to update it.
