Unfortunately it does not matter who starts it if you do ANYTHING that violates the Code Of Conduct and it gets reported then YOUR actions are what the enforcement
team looks at and are what caused you to get suspended.

If you reported the other player and their actions violated the code of conduct then they to will be suspended by the enforcement team.

In this situation it is best to just report, block and mute the other player.

If you feel that you should not have been suspended you can sign into your account at the enforcement teams website here and file for a case review the enforcement team will reinvestigate
the report that was made against and determine if they can lift the suspension sooner.

This is the ONLY way to get a suspension lifted sooner.

They have a website that you can sign into enforcement.xbox.com when you sign in there with the account that has the suspension on it there should be an orange hammer in one of the boxes when you click on that it will show you all of the enforcement actions
past an present that have been put against the account.

If any of the suspensions are eligible there would be a button that you can click on to submit a case review and appeal the suspension.

This will initiate and second evaluation of the report that was made that caused the suspension and the enforcement team will determine if the suspension was warranted or not if it was then they will uphold the suspension and that is the final say were you
would have to wait out the suspension. if the lift the suspension then your priviliges would be put back on your account.

I do feel that even though the suspension would have lifted before it was reviewed, the fact that any enforcement action has a permanent effect on your Xbox Live account means that it should be possible to ask for a review for all enforcement actions.

the Enforcement Team are only human and mistakes do happen, otherwise there wouldn't be the option to appeal decisions and enforcement actions would never be overturned, but this does happen.

against your account IF the enforcement action is eligible you will have an option to apply for a case review.

It will then ask you a series of questions about the code of conduct and enforcement actions ALL this information can be found on their website. Once you answer ALL of the questions correctly you will have a chance to appeal your suspension. At which point
an enforcement agent will reinvestigate the report that was made against your account and determine if they can lift the suspension sooner. If they determine that it was a valid report and uphold the suspension that is the final decision and you would have
to wait out the suspension.

The ONLY thing that the xbox support team is going to be able to tell you is the length of the suspension and what priviliges were taken away they would not be able to do anything in regards to the suspension.
