Getting E203, brand new console, was told to run Offline Diagnostic Tool - not working

First time buyer, got this for my kids for Christmas today. Not impressed with Microsoft right now. Is this the hackers? I ran the stupid Offline Diagnostic Tool and it didn't work. Goes from green screen to error screen.

e203 after update

aighty like in the title says after installing the latest update i got error e203, my xbox was working fine untill this dam update, and now even after running the offline system diagnostic tool osudt2 over and over and over again im still getting error
e203.

ANy help would be great, cause i really dont wanna lose all my saved games that *** takes years to install

Got Xbox One for my kids and it's not working - HELP

It has been doing this all day. I keep getting the code E203 00000803 80073CF6

This is incredibly frustrating. Is this the hackers? Or is my system ***??? I know nothing about this stuff - just trying to get it working for my kids. I was told by a chat agent to try some Offline Diagnostic Tool, but that seems like a hell of a lot
of work.

Not very happy.

Keep in mind that I know nothing about these and spoke with a chat agent and they gave me no further information than I was able to find myself online. Still no system running. Not real happy. Do I need to send this back in and get a new one - or is this
because Xbox is down due to the hackers?

It may be have been the Live service. Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down?

I tried Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool to update my console then I got E203 00000803 80070005 error after the update. Finally I tried the tool to restore to factory default. This has fixed it. Though I need to reinstall my games.

Unfortunately, this thread is over a year old. In the future, it's best if you create new threads to detail your specific problems. That way we know what exactly is going on with your console and can get you the type of individual support that works best
with these issues.

As for the E203 error, that usually means there's a problem with the console's system update. Try updating offline by using the "Offline System Update
Diagnostic Tool."

Hopefully that will help lead to a solution for your issues!

If you're still having trouble, create a new thread with what exactly you're experiencing along with any error codes you've seen and all troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

Hi Cloudiest! There are some other folks in another thread who have run into the black screen and were able to fix it using the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool. Information and instructions can be found at the following link:

In most cases, OSUDT2 is the file to use, but since yours is a brand new system, likely in the middle of its first update, I would suggest trying OSUDT1 first.
