    If the Technicolor TC8305C is the one causing this, it's because of a firmware update by Xfinity that caused many issues for people including me! So I recommend either requesting a Cisco DPC3939 (XB3) Gateway or a Arris TC862G from Comcast. I've heard that
    the Arris gateways also have similar issues but it can be fixed with a firmware update!

    Microsoft can't do anything about this since it's at Comcast's end and nobody is sure when this will be fixed.

    My Xbox is hard wired. So range is not a problem. @scott272 I mentio this in my original post. None of the troubleshooting steps on their site help. I have already done them...multiple times, plus a few extra things. This is not a problem that only I am

    Have you tried the "random disconnection" troubleshooter
    here    ?

    It contains many steps that could help diagnose your issue!

    If that doesn't help, try running a Network Connection Test and replying with some information about your test results and your equipment setup. You can find instructions on how to run the test and a template for posting the information in this thread.
