I'm getting quite frustrated since Comcast released the new Gateway to replace the old modem/router setup from previous. Now I'm faced with several problems. It's either I cannot connect to Xbox Live at all, My Nat becomes Moderate sometimes, or I get randomly
disconnected while on Open Nat. I've tried everything contacting Comcast and looking up Videos on YouTube on how to fix the problem.

Need help with multiplayer Comcast

I found a solution for the TC8305C gateway from Comcast.

I turned off the firewall on the gateway.

Turned off upnp. Reset gateway. Turned it back on.

Now the key part: Turn on the Xbox one by pushing the power button for five seconds. You will get the green splash screen and it will sit there for a minute (like it is being started for the first time).

Your NAT should now be open.

Open NAT?

It's definitely a router issue for me, but I can't find a solution. The best I can get, using either my older Linksys EA4200 or my new Asus RT-AC66R is a moderate NAT. Direct connection to the Comcast modem shows open though. I've turned NAT off / back on,
disabled router firewalls, turned upnp off/on, tries putting the XB1 in the DMZ, etc. I can't use port forwarding, because I have two XB1's, so I'm just dealing with it for now.

Xbox Live keeps disconnecting me too and knocking out my router only since this newest "FIX". Its rebooting like my router has been unplugged and reconnected. I have the XBOX 360 slim with WI-FI.

TallishYew584: xbox live can not reset your router. it is likely your router is having issues, ether bad firmware or a hardware malfunction, it could simply be that the power is fluctuating or the power is not fully connected.

"Important Do not use a combination of port forwarding, UPnP, and perimeter network (also known as DMZ) settings" this is in regard to connecting to xbox live.

It didn't work when I turned of UpNp. I was able to be online for about 10 minutes then it disconnected me.

So far the problem only occurs when I play GTA Online. It's just weird that the problem started after they announce that XBOX Live was fixed If I'm barking up the wrong tree I apologize. For months I was having problems wit one of the apps so people can
understand my frustration.

Xbox Live keeps kicking people out. Disregard my last post. Disconnections are happening more frequently, Internet keeps rebooting, trouble getting into or switching game lobbies. live parties disconnecting. My other online friends are having the same issues.

I just want to throw out there that it could be an issue with Comcast or your connection. If it is it is most likely on Comcasts end. Do some troubleshooting. Connect to the gateway wired and see if it solves the problem. If it does.... You know it is an
issue with the wireless. If it does not.... Then it is more than likely a Comcast issue which could be hard to get fixed as it could be difficult to track down. I had the same issue. For everything else internet related.... All was ok. But one day I started
randomly getting disconnect from Xbox live. It was on comcasts end. I eventually had to change to ATT. Never had a problem since.

ITS THE COMCAST EXFINITY TECHNICOLOR WIRELESS GATEWAY. I have been dealing with for over 3 weeks. The random disconnects from big online games and xbox live started every once in a while. Then it got progressivly worse. I online chatted with game support,
xbox live and comcast (my internet provider). I talked to support from xbox live and comcast several times. One tech admitted that the technicolor gateway is malfunctioning. I had comcast come to my house for a service call. The tech installed a new technicolor
gateway that could handle higher internet speeds and I got a higher speed enet package from comcast. The tech went around testing all my cables and connections and showed me the impressive speeds. I turned on my xbox, and it worked great. For about an hour......
I unplugged that gateway this morning and was waiting at comcast when they opened at 8:30 am. I traded that piece of *** for an Arris model gateway. I havent had a problem in 4 hours. GO GET A ARRIS.....Stop pulling your hair out.

I'm having the same exact problem as you guys. I cleared my cache and redownloaded my profile, but I'm still getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live when I join an online game.

I also have Xfinity/Comcast. And all the ports are open on my router. If I watch Netflix, I never get disconnect from XBL. But when I join an online game, I eventually get disconnected from XBL. Pretty frustrating.
