Getting Disconnected From XBL When Playing COD Ghost

I just got a new ISP "Midcontinent". The modem/router they provided me with is a Cisco DPC3828. Every time I try to play Call of Duty Ghosts, I either get instantly disconnected from xbox live or I get to play 5 minutes of a round and then get disconnected.
I am then able to re-sign in. I have also had issues with joining parties. It is really annoying considering I never had this issue with my old isp. I am able to stream netflix and watch youtube videos without issue. So, for some reason this is only affecting
COD. I tried to follow instructions for setting a static ip, but I'm running xubuntu on my pc, and I haven't been able to find any tutorials specific to my OS and my router. I have factory reset my modem, I have tried turning the firewall off all together,
and I have tested connections without getting any kind of nat error. I am getting extremely frustrated with this. If there is anyone out there who can assist me with this most annoying situation, I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

Xbox Connects to Network But Not the Internet

Same issue here.. When my xbox does connect to xbl i am constantly getting disconnected from live.

 

Getting disconnected from XBL on 360

I am getting disconnected from XBL on 360 every time i do this : when i return to dasboard after playing a game and when i try to use an app. This is happening since yesterday only on 360. I can connect to XBL, play games or apps without problems on X1
.

Part from the Cisco DPC3828, do you have an additional router connected to your gateway?

Go ahead and try the following steps (if you haven't already) and let us know how that goes and we'll go from there.

Go to System settings and select storage. Clear the system cache for your primary storage device and repeat this process 3 times in a row.

Go to Xbox Network settings and select Configure Network. Select the Additional setting tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

Restart your console.

I would also suggest that you make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is ticked enable.

Some Cisco/Linksys router's have a feature that may filter/block multiplex connections. Therefore, make sure Filter/block Anonymous Internet Requests is disabled.

Let us know how that goes and we'll go from there.

 

Sorry for the late reply. I had thought that your fixed resolved my issues. However, everything was going smooth as butter until 5 minutes ago when the exact same thing started happening again. I tried your fix, and the issue was still present. To answer
your question there are no other routers or gateways. Just the cisco DPC3828. Please someone help me out. this is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance

 

Also I should ad that this is now happening for netflix as well as a couple different games. It has to be something with my Cisco DPC3828 as I never had this problem when I had my previous ISP and UPnP is enabled

Can you confirm that you have updated the security proofs like phone numbers, alternate email addresses, and security questions and answers to your Microsoft
account.

With your security proofs being updated, let's focus on the next steps: Delete Profile Only from the Xbox storage device, clear system cache (three times in a row) and finally, recover your profile from LIVE.

How to delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

Before you delete your profile you have to know the username and password for your Microsoft account that is associated with your profile.

1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
2. Select Storage.
3. Select All Devices.
4. Select Gamer Profiles.
5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
6. Select Delete.
7. Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.
   

Clear Xbox system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
   
2. Select Storage or Memory.
3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
4. Select Clear System Cache.
5. Repeat this process 3 times in row.

Restart your console.

Download Xbox LIVE profile.

1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
   
2. Select Download Profile.
3. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
4. Enter your Microsoft account password.

I too am having this problem. I also have the same modem through the same ISP "Midcontinent". I have tried the deleting of the profile and clearing cache remedy and that seems to not be the problem. I believe the issue is with the modem as this just started
happening for me when I got it. For awhile I had the standard non-wireless modem, "Ubee", which worked fine. I didnt want to purchase an expensive router for wireless capabilities so I upgraded to the wireless "DPC3828" modem and then these issues started
to occur. I have tried forwarding my ports, putting my xbox in DMZ, restarting the modem, and clearing cache and none seem to fix the problem. Im doing more research on this modem model but I am seriously considering sending this back for the Ubee and just
getting a router instead. Maybe Taidara can help suggest something but I believe this is a topic for Cisco to handle. Please let me know if you find a fix.
