Getting an error message when sending a friend request

Hey BrunoCalypso,

Since this is in the Xbox 360 error forums, I'm going to assume you are having this issue on an Xbox 360. I can think of a couple things that might cause this.

1.) Xbox services were lagging when you tried to send your friend request. I've seen where just a couple of hours will fix this problem and requests can be sent again.

2.) On Xbox 360, you have a limit of 100 friends (to my knowledge) so if you have 100 friends, you won't be able to add any more.

i have the same issue and ive waited a whole day and i have no friends so what can i do?

You should have received a message if you were suspended from sending/receiving text messages and friend requests. Can you send outgoing text messages and friend requests to other players? If you can, then you should be able to get messages and requests
from other players. I would also look into the privacy settings on your account and make sure you're allowed to send/receive messages and friend requests.

Yes. I have had the same problem sending messages to people who aren't on my friends list. It's been going on for 3 months. If I send them a friend request and if the friend request is pending I am able to send them a message with no problem. If they aren't
on my friends list I get a message that says message could not be sent "xbox live" I am on the phone with microsoft now and they don't know what's going on. If I send them a message like 15 or 20 tries sometimes I can get a message to go through.
