Getting achievements but not in-game recognition...

I don't like to complain. I have in the past but in my opinion it has always been justified. In this case, I feel justified.

For the past few weekends my friend and I have gotten together and played this game.

We have achievements and game saves from our encounters, and every once in a while something will go wrong. Sometimes one of us has to leave early or have fallen asleep, so our game save will somehow be a little off. Either starting us out at the beginning
of the level or not recognizing we had beat it at all.

This wasn't a big deal because we chopped it up to us switching consoles and playing split screen from one person's house to another. We gave the makers of the game the benefit of the doubt.

But tonight.... We beat all of a mission. On Legendary. Then afterwards I was upset to see that the previous two missions we had beaten together, also on legendary, had not synced to my xbox one memory. I had the achievements so I thought it was a little strange,
but moved on.

Until... I saw that the mission we both worked very hard on for far too long was not completed in my game save! Even though I had the achievement, my game said the mission was "unplayed"!

This... is unacceptable.

I can understand moving from one console to another, I can understand not having your servers in order before releasing a game, I can even understand an xbox one not syncing with the online data and basically overriding the fact that you have done something
because of network issues and user fault.

But to assume that in one night I can witness my hard work becoming a simple word letting me know that everything I had done needed to be redone, not because of personal error but because of the error of others, is unacceptable.

It is not too much of the people playing this game to ask that it gets fixed. Not just the online, not just the servers, but all aspects of this game.

I have 3 missions in one of the 4 games alone that tell me they are "unplayed" although I have the achievements. The idea that I have to worry about switching between consoles and it would be my fault to any extent because I needed to be the leader or the
joiner is absurd. The work was put in, it was completed, it was merited, please fix the bugs in this game before you alienate the older group of individuals who fell in love with Xbox for Halo in the first place. Honestly, it seems like a bitter slap in the
face when I grew up facing my friends in split screen custom match Juggernaut, my first achievement ever was MVP for Halo 3 because I had played it so much, and Xbox 360 was what I switched to after Playstation 2 because of Halo 3.

Microsoft has let its original fan base down with this game. Promising a renewed experience yet only handing out apologies.

Stopped earning achievements when Cortana is on

Playing Rocket League and it gives maybe the first couple of achievements but after a while, I don't earn any. I was doing things like Winning the Championship, completing the season, etc. and not getting any recognition for it. Once I turned Cortana off,
I start getting achievements and recognition for them again.

 

Will Xbox ever get a platinum trophy like item from achievments

I have really wanted to get 100% of the achievements in a game on Xbox because there is no indication or recognition that I did 100% of the game. Granted, I do try to get as many achievements as I can, but I would like a "plat" trophy.
