That only means that the original email address of your Microsoft/Xbox account was removed from your original account. In performing an account recovery, you must use the hacker's email address because it's the one currently tied up to your original account.

You could try to reset its password through https://account.live.com/pw (make sure that you're signed out of any account on https://account.microsoft.com/ website before you perform recovery).

First, for us to be on the same page, please try to sign in your account on https://account.microsoft.com website. Please let me know if it will accept your password or not.

If it doesn't accept it, click on the reset password option. If one of your account security information is active, you should be able to reset it easily.

To make sure if you've recovered your correct account, you may go to https://account.xbox.com/Profile to check your Xbox profile or gamertag.

Thanks for the effort, I appreciate it. Yeah, you can always try it and provide the information as accurate as possible. Please make sure as well to enter the hacker's email address on the field where it says the account that you're trying to get back into.

Tried resetting the password but it was being funky and I didn't get the code sent to my email or phone so I'll try it again tomorrow since it is currently late.

I've already performed 2 recovery forms today but they were similar to what i did but again, I will try again tomorrow.

So the current situation i have with doing these is that resetting password wont work especially with the hacker email since it can only send a code to it's own email and the recovery form doesn't specify much of Xbox since most of the details are of the Microsoft info which I don't think helps with the Xbox account since I only had the email for it. I add the actual gamer tag of course but that is little evidence that specifies it.

When i discovered the issue i went ahead and changed the password as a first response but sadly that did not work, well kind off. The password DID change but i think what happened is that i made a copy maybe? Since it changed the password for the email that i use and kept the details/info such as Skype account and date of birth. I thought that fixed it but i then checked the Xbox account and i basically made a new one with the same email and I am still unsure how that happened.

Oh and I can still manage to try and log into my hacked account but it wont work because of the different email attached with a different password. I found the actual name of the email because of Sea of Thieves so that is at least something.

I can log into my current Microsoft account that i described with the Skype info but I know it is different because the profile picture was default and my IRL name attached didn't have capitalized first letters (because i didn't notice and do that sometimes). Checking the Xbox account led me to my currently *new* account with a random gamer tag generated.

If some details are hazy or if I explained poorly then i can attach images to understand more because I also got confused which one I've been trying to log in to since they both use the same email but i changed it recently with this account I am using.
