I've already taken the card back to the store I purchased it from with the receipt, there was nothing they could do for me. The cashier told me to try my luck calling GameStop's corporate customer support, but they said I'd need to contact Microsoft since there's nothing they could do either. I've also gone to the Xbox support page and tried to contact, but apparently I can't call for my specific issue. At this point, ngocphi is right, I might as well find a way to sell the code. You just have to sell it there are always retail buyer sites but you take a significant loss more then if you kijiji it

What I would recommend you do is contact the store where you purchase the gift card, because, since you didn't even scratch it to check out the code, they should accept it as a return and refund you. Because, since you didn't purchase it directly from Microsoft, Microsoft can't refund you for it. I'm so sorry about this inconvenience my friend.

What you could try to do is to contact Microsoft directly, requesting a call back on the website, and check with them if there's anything else you can do. :/
