i made my xbox account a while ago for my little cousin who lives far away from me and now i am trying to get back into the account to put on my home xbox but i know only the gamertag not the email nor the password i could reset the password if i got the email because i use the same password for them all but i have like 200 and don’t feel like searching through them all to see which one is it and i have no way to contact my cousins parents as they are distancing themselves from the family and makes it hard to get in touch

I apologize but there is no option for us to check the email using just the Gamertag. It would be really best to get in-touch with them.

Hey there Broom. Deactivating your email won't unlink your gamertag from that email. All it does it make your gamertag now linked to an inactive email. My advice would be for your friend to get his/her email account back (do a password reset or something
to get a new password). Then you can log into your account and change the email attached to your gamertag to the email of your choice.

I think the only way you'll be able to get your email back from the gamertag is by checking and doing a recovery on the live.com site. Normally i don't think there's an easy way to get it from the gamertag or else that would leave all our emails open for
malicious behavior.

if you NEVER played online with your 1st gamertag, its normal that you have another one now...

If you want to get all your saves games / gamerscore from the 1st gamertag, you have sign in with it on the Xbox 360 then going online, your email + gamertag will be linked. Becareful, you have to use another email or unlink the actual email from your 2nd
gamertag.

As far as I know you cannot deactive a gamertag. What you can do is free your work email from that gamertag. I'm not sure if it will stop the emails from coming in, but it will free your email from that account/gamertag. If this doesn't stop the emails
I guess you could block MS from sending you emails.
