Getting 25mbs but games refuse to update.

My games wont update and I can't download new ones. My internet speed on my dongle is 25mbs, my wifi is 3mbs, yet the game will download on the slow wifi??? Whenever I try to update a game, I get a message saying, 'please try again when network is faster
'??? 25mbs is faster than 3mbs but wont it wont work, why?

Thanks for your quick response. Not to worry I have fixed it with a factory reset.

Can you let us know what the system is saying in Settings > Network > Network settings in terms of NAT and connectivity? You can also run detailed network statistics from there and it will give details on your connection to Xbox Live (which can vary to
your ISP bandwidth connection). Let us know what those say and that can help us identify where to start troubleshooting. Also, just to check, are these games updating directly to the internal hard drive, or are the games stored on an external drive?

I have Verizon FIOS with a 25mb upload and 25mb download pipe. I have had no lag at all in this game.

Thank you much I tried method #2 and it worked perfectly, I put the DNS number in and BOOM from 500KB to a constant 19-25MB, I'll finally get to play the game.
