First of all, how wonderful is the new minecraft launcher. Amazing until you realize that you cant use it. What is the problem. I downgrade to the old one (which feels like an upgrade) and every time it updates and installs the new one. Secondly when I download minecraft bedrock from the Xbox store because the old launcher does not support it I can't log in. I reset my WiFi, delete and re-install, change from Xbox to Microsoft store and it still won't work. Then when I delete and re download the 3rd time it says error and I can't even play offline. Moreover how long does it take to add a "remove game from list" button to Xbox cloud gaming. I accidentally launch a game and it is stuck in my list forever. I tried asking Microsoft support and it is as useless as the results from YouTube. Then the phone number redirects to the useless Microsoft support page. Get your act together, this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company.

Thank you for all the replies, but I still cannot make my xbox set as home, so I may just try one last time and try contacting Xbox Support and see if they can be of any help...

I understand that you are frustrated but they are trying to do the best they can. I'm frustrated too but the attacks seem to have long lasting effects on the servers. Hopefully this will not happen again. There is no way technologically they can prevent
this. I'm sorry that you have been trouble contacting support.

Hi there Abdullah welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately, no Microsoft employees here, only gamers, but, as someone who had this issue myself I can give a good advice, this occurs due to a licensing issue that is affecting a lot of users! These steps may help! (This hasn't helped all users but at least some have reported ir as a solution)

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

why use the launcher, i use minecraft direct without the launcher, you have the option to install minecraft with or without launcher in the xbox app.

Also when you can get back online make sure you go to the settings app and set your xbox as your home console. If you do that your games will work next time you are offline(apart from the multiplayer mode obviously)
