    So I wake up on my day off from work an everything to have a relaxing afternoon and after everything was working perfectly fine last night. I can't start any game or app. without being connected to xbox live. At first I just thought it was a game thing,
    and that I was in a party chat talking to my cousin. So I started up Netflix and it said that I need to make my xbox my home xbox, but then it wont even let me do that...

    At this point I was getting annoyed, so I try calling xbox support, and I got through the menu, then it says that this call cannot be completed at this time, please try again later. (same thing 3 times in a row)

    So I decided to go and do other things, and went on here and was filling out the form for Xbox to call me, and then what do you know... "Unable to complete your request. Please call us directly." Well guess what, just tried that... DOESN'T WORK!

    I'm not one to usually get annoyed, but if I can't play anything I have paid for for 4 days now, come on?

    Having same problem and I just spend over an hour *** with my network to get it to work, only to find out the problem is on MS's fault, aqusing my family of *** with the modem and what not. I'am not impressed on MS's lack of letting us know wtf is going
    on. NB Canada, speedstream 6520 dsl modem, aliant ultra max dsl connection.

    yes i agree, they need to get their act together

    why am i having issues with a console RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! i literally just bought it brand new and this isn't a first generation of it its the new call of duty xbox 1

    ITS SUPER LOUD and the hard drive is heating up like the sun!

    why can't they be like apple or nintendo who doesn't make loud crap thats burns a hole through my hand

    and they wonder why ppl don't like them its cuz of crap like this happening to regular people

    I understand that you are frustrated but they are trying to do the best they can. I'm frustrated too but the attacks seem to have long lasting effects on the servers. Hopefully this will not happen again. There is no way technologically they can prevent
    this. I'm sorry that you have been trouble contacting support.

    I'm sorry for this inconvenience but the good news is the servers are mostly back up online, a couple things are limited but you can stay up to date on the status of the servers here.

    Also when you can get back online make sure you go to the settings app and set your xbox as your home console. If you do that your games will work next time you are offline(apart from the multiplayer mode obviously)

  7. Thank you for all the replies, but I still cannot make my xbox set as home, so I may just try one last time and try contacting Xbox Support and see if they can be of any help...

    Thank you for all the replies, but I still cannot make my xbox set as home, so I may just try one last time and try contacting Xbox Support and see if they can be of any help...

    Hi there Abdullah welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately, no Microsoft employees here, only gamers, but, as someone who had this issue myself I can give a good advice, this occurs due to a licensing issue that is affecting a lot of users! These steps may help! (This hasn't helped all users but at least some have reported ir as a solution)

    Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

    why use the launcher, i use minecraft direct without the launcher, you have the option to install minecraft with or without launcher in the xbox app.
