  1. Get your act together Microsoft.

I have always had a problem with my controller randomly shutting off and turning back on during gaming. It will do it up to six times a night. I just always assumed it was my controller that was the problem, so I just dealt with it and decided I would
buy a new controller in the near future. Then my headset wouldn't transmit sound, but I could hear people talking and audio through it. I thought it might be the controller again, so I borrowed a controller from my friend. I realized that my headset was broke
after trying it on his controller. Since I already had the battery in his controller, I decided to use it for the night and it randomly shut off and came back on also. Then I thought it might have been the rechargeable battery pack that was the problem since
it was the only batteries I have used since day one, but it still occurred.

Once I realized it was the console that was the problem I decided to send it in for repair. I had just received destiny, so I wasn't too happy with losing my console for an extended period of time, but as long as my issue was resolved it would be worth
it. So I tried to setup a repair for my console and headset via the online chat. The headset repair went through, but when I tried to setup my Xbox One for repair I was informed of only one repair at a time. This made absolutely no sense to me. I tried to
explain to the person that instead of waiting for my headset to be repaired and sent back to me, I could just go ahead and have all my problems fixed at the same time. They again told me that is not how the system works. I decided to call support at that point
and they allowed both repairs to go through at the same time.

After three weeks of waiting, my console finally arrived at my house. I opened it up to find a letter that stated after "extensive" testing, they couldn't find a problem with my Xbox. I was extremely upset about the whole situation. After all of that
time talking to support and waiting for my Xbox to return, and they tell me there isn't a problem with my Xbox. Every time I play my Xbox One this problem occurs and for them to tell me there is no problem was ridiculous. So, I decided to try it out anyways.
After about an hour, my controller shut off and came back on, then again, and again.

Back to support I go. I tell them of the problem and how it had not been fixed. They send me through troubleshooting again, just to realize that I do have a problem with my console. She informed me that I should do the advance exchange so that I would
guarantee a new console. First of all, that is sad that you would need to recommend that because the repair guys can't seem to fix consoles. I told her I didn't have the money for the 400 dollar hold right then. She then said I could do the repair service
again. I was not going to lose my console again for three weeks to have nothing happen to it but a system reset. She went to go talk to someone and work out something to make this a little better for me I thought. Nope, instead she came back saying that my
issue was probably brought on by my router ports not being open. Not sure how my controller is affected by open ports, but I called my ISP anyways and everything was open. I decided I would just wait until I had the money to do the advance exchange.

Fast forward to today. I finally had enough extra money laying around to do the advance exchange. We went through the process and then I was informed of a 15 dollar fee for the advance exchange. This was the first time I had heard of the 15 dollar fee.
Neither of the two previous people had mentioned it, only the 400 dollar hold. I asked her what the money went towards and she said it was just a fee for a premium service. I informed her that the previous support person had suggested I do this option to ensure
a new Xbox. She said sorry, but that is the only way to proceed. At this point, I am just done with this whole thing and just want it to be over with. So, I go ahead and complete the advance exchange. After all of the time I spent talking to support, waiting
for my repair, and the 28 dollars it took for shipping my headset and for the fee, hopefully I will get to use the console I spent 500 dollars on. I really like my Xbox, but after all of this I might be going to Sony from here on out.

    :)

Also when you can get back online make sure you go to the settings app and set your xbox as your home console. If you do that your games will work next time you are offline(apart from the multiplayer mode obviously)

Thank you for all the replies, but I still cannot make my xbox set as home, so I may just try one last time and try contacting Xbox Support and see if they can be of any help...

I understand that you are frustrated but they are trying to do the best they can. I'm frustrated too but the attacks seem to have long lasting effects on the servers. Hopefully this will not happen again. There is no way technologically they can prevent
this. I'm sorry that you have been trouble contacting support.

    Get your act together.

Hi there Abdullah welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately, no Microsoft employees here, only gamers, but, as someone who had this issue myself I can give a good advice, this occurs due to a licensing issue that is affecting a lot of users! These steps may help! (This hasn't helped all users but at least some have reported ir as a solution)

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

If this doesn't help Abdullah I highly recommend contacting Mojang, they answer really fast! https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/ne...
