Get save file from Cloud without installing the game again?

Hi. I played Shadow of War using Xbox Game Pass on PC and deleted the game. I know my saved files still on Microsoft-cloud, but I can't find any instruction on how to get it without installing the game again cause I want to port my progress to Steam.

Shadow of War is now more than 100 GB and my internet speed is really slow, I don't want to download it again just to get the saved file.

No i'm sorry but on other gaming platforms it's not possible to transfer game progress, only if you play on Windws 10 with Xbox Ultimate you can transfer saved data.

Ok... I have 1 more questions.

Sometimes I play Microsoft store version after Steam version, saved files were ported automatically but not vice versa.

How about a way to connect Microsoft store to Steam, so that when I play on Steam, Microsoft understanding i can choose whether to use files from their cloud not steam cloud, and can download it manually by using "Manage games and apps"?

Or just understanding I have a copyrighted of the game from somewhere else not only Steam but also Origins, Epic games etc... and don't need to buy the game again, and share saved files together as well as game version.

You cannot, it only gets from the cloud when you run the game again will sync with the cloud and downloads the save data.

No this is not possible.

Because the game in question saves to the Cache of your profile and doesn't have a specific loose save file I can see on the console or the Cloud.

This game is like a few others, Unreal Tournament 3, Many of the Xbox 360 Arcade Games like Yugioh Decade Duels or Castle Crashers.

These games when installed only show up as a game installation and do not share the save file in the same folder.

You have to see it like this

If I delete all stuff tied to a game from the console (without being connected) I still have access to the save when I boot the game again (again without Internet connection)

So my issue is: Would it in any shape or form be possible to get access to this profile cache as this happens SO much with cloud saves going wrong.

Hi, if you deleted the game/content you can download/install the game/content again, if you deleted the game save file from the Xbox only that will sync back from cloud when you next launch the game.

On the other hand if you deleted a game save from the xbox and cloud then those can't be recovered sorry.
