Get rid of the auto pistol

True...also jugs, stopping power, 3 times frag, martydom, ect. But mw1 & mw2 are still the two best multiplayer shooters I have ever played.. They make fun addicting games that allow players of all skill levels to have a good time.

Yeah, it is bad. And you can lot cloaked and a lot of other things. One of my sons have been playing PC with me and he can just run around and it will lock enemies he cannot even see. And it will lock on with a curve to the bullet track so you do not
have to be good at all. I have seen some pretty bad stuff with that gun already.

Removing the gun is another thing. The devs themselves have basically said they want this game to be accessible to anyone. They have made that game right here. The bots, not complaining, will do that as well. You can farm those and win Attrition very easily.
I am playing PC and get 40+ bots every match. This helps me get Titans faster and take more bots, pilots, and Titans out. I get MVP a lot. Just run for those bots to start. Get 10-12 quickly (chuck some of those electric grenades to were they always are,
plus they show in the mini map) then just repeat. Getting 90+ points a match in Attrition. Works well for getting points in hardpoint for leveling as well.

Maybe, but I was literally picked off by a player who locked at assault rifle type range. They were on top of a building and I was a decent ways across a field. They gun DID lock on and they took me out. I will admit that was one of the few times I have
been killed by it. But the few matches I was in that had people in it showed me how bad this weapon is.

 

Maybe it's just not catching on. Because I hardly ever get killed by it.

I have over 16 hours logged into the beta, and don't see an issue with it.

 

Well, Doc that could be. And it may not ever catch on but I think it will. The reason is because of what I have saw. My wife played this and she is bad at these types of games. And I mean bad and she will readily admit that. She did very well on this
doing 2 things:

1. Auto-Pistol

2. Farm those bots

I will say that is why she liked it. This game should be a hit. Not only does it play well but it is simple for anyone to play. And people can feel like they are doing well.

 

If one really wanted to, farming bots can just as easily be done with any weapon. They go down with one hit...any weapon at all, and you don't need to give up range/rifle to do it. ...just saying and only my opinion, of course. I do use arc grenades a lot,
on them.

I'm sure this will be one of many discussions. I'm glad your wife likes it though. Personally, I hope everyone finds the game enjoyable. I find it pretty refreshing, myself. I've been turned off to MP games for a while now. This next gen, should be good
for online playing, with the new string of "A" games coming out.

 

Looking foward to this it will have its highs and lows for me i cannot wait til it gets released.

 

Theres nothing wrong with the pistol.

 

@CoDdukes--I am just saying with this dev team (from history) it is easy to expect something or some setup or some weapon to be "overpowered" or very exploitable. Time will tell. I am liking the beta.

The Smart pistol is fine for the new guys getting into to the game.

I think Respawn wants a game that everyone can play and wont be intimidated to play like a COD or BF.

For the seasoned Shooter Vet like most of us, we'll opt for the AR, SMG, Shot Gun or even the regular pistol

Those few seconds to lock on to a Pilot is just too long and the range is too close. IMO

 

It's the lazy man's gun. I use it to run around and kill minions...

 

I have no issue with the Smart Pistol, face to face, with two equally skilled players, you need to hard aim for the head to be the victor. By the time you lock on you're dead.

It's biggest strength is in killing groups of minions.

 

The auto pistol isn't bad at all. It takes a couple seconds to lock on, and by that time that person could have gotten a shotgun to the face. So I feel it's all balanced and adds to the super fast gameplay.

 

so you really dont have to be bothered about aiming, whats the point?

 

you will see when everyone figures it out it will be nothing but pistols
