Get rid of the auto pistol

I just saw a guy slowly shoot two bullets ten feet to the left of me....and kill me.

Create your class

Get rid of your pistol for that class, imo. Just kill someone and pick up thier gun.

 

Can the smart pistol be used in full auto, if not there is cheating

I know the auto pistol, but been getting hit with auto aim in full auto...

I wish people with the modded controllers would get reprimanded.

Or just make everything auto.

 

You have to wait until 3 locks against a player. It takes a couple of seconds. A carbine or shotgun is better if you want to aim and twitch around.

I never use the smart gun. I also hardly ever die from it.

 

The game is awesome. But of course there will be a few things that will need to be patched upon the initial release. An auto aim gun is just silly. I hope it isn't as powerful as my death cam made it look....The 2nd bullet did a 'wanted' and followed
me through a doorway.

Then again I trust this team of Devs, maybe I got it all wrong.

 

That's the whole point of that gun, however it is balanced by the fact they have to be in closer range than the other weapons, plus have to lock on for several seconds before they get a kill.

 

^ I agree, it is kind of silly. But it's slow, and doesn't have enough range for my play-style. Wouldn't want to give up a rifle for it. At least they didn't make it a side arm. lol

 

When I used it in the training mode it didn't take several seconds...and it allowed locking on to several players for killshots. It will probably end up being similar to being QS'd. Annoying, but inferior to an AR/SMG.

You can lock onto grunts very quickly and kill them, however spectres and pilots take multiple locks to kill and a moving target takes several seconds to lock, this and the fact it is a primary weapon balance it out. The homing bullet is accurate as that
is the purpose of the lock just as with a rocket.

 

There is a reason it is in assassin class. You have to be stealthy because of the time it takes to lock on, and any movement extends that time. I don't run around with pistol like I do with AR or SMG. I sneak around. I hope they don't change a thing
with pistol.

 

Lets adapt to the game and not expect the game to adapt to us.

 

As long as it ends up balanced I'm alright with it. I probably over reacted to the kill cam as most people do with quick scopers...I trust this dev team.

 

^^Well, this is the dev team that released (with CoD) the Commando knife, the Marathon, Lightweight, Commando, care package cannister running, the One Man Army Danger Close, the Scavenger Claymores, the 1887 akimbo shotguns and many more overpowered things,
eh?

 

There'll be plenty of people that have poor hand-eye coordination/reaction time, that will love the smart pistol.
