We have several internet providers in our area. We currently have two in our house. If they even consider changing things I will immediately cancel that company. If they all start doing it I will cancel them all and begin an epic quest to beat all single
player games ever created.

I live in a pretty developed urban area and I have two options for internet, if I want decent speed and reliability. My choices are further limited because one, Verizon the company who is behind this court case, is terrible and charges too much. So unless
I wanna go back to dial up or move I'm stuck with Comcast(they're actually not bad though, but still).

 

Verizon overall is a really, really bad company. They have horrible business practices.

I agree. Their service is bogus, I upgraded to Quantum because it would of saved me paying a fee for a technician to visit my home to fix the second faulty router they sent! Support had set up the service call because we were having so many problems, only
to be told after the installation it would cost us. The kicker is Quantum added no benefit to are internet speed and they only guarantee wireless up to ten feet away from the router.

This year I have Time Warner Cable, and honestly I don't know if anyone could be worse, they're a bunch of snakes. /rant

 

I personally have TWC and they have a bad case of the bundles. They "force" you into bundles by making you pay more for TV, Phone, and Internet just so you get improved internet speed. I could easily get by with just internet, but if you take that route
it's worse.

[/quote]Outside of Cellular data (I don't consider using 3G or 4G for internet in my home.) it's sort of sad that there are not more options for those who live in urban areas for an ISP. I really like living in rural areas because there are smaller telephone
companies/Co-ops that will use some of the bleeding edge tech out there in order to compete with the multi-billion dollar companies like Verizon. Or at least that has been my experience.

 

Well like I said I'm actually happy with my service. I have very fast internet and reliable phone and internet. I just prefer having options.

Our government isn't dysfunctional. The "People" who keep electing this crap are. All sides of it! The government and courts are owned lock stock and barrel by these corporations. They will do whatever the corporations tell them to do. And since the US Supreme
Court ruled that these big Global corporate hogs (Foreigners too) are now US citizens with all rights granted therein (see Citizens United decision), who do you think politicians will listen too. Them with 99% of the money. Or us with 100% of the BS dysfunctional
issues. While we're hopelessly distracted stressing out over goofy "Teabag" garbage, or "Libtard" Totems. Stuff like this happens to all of us. And the politicians, judges, lawyers, Banks, Filthy rich, corporations laugh all the way to the bank. They think
we are all fools. Treat us like it. And we oblige them by acting like it.
