A digital game? If it was purchased on your account you can simply go to My Games and Apps and then Ready To Download to get it again.

 

Forza horizon 3 cant start running

is it the digital version? if you bought the digital version then you would get it for both platforms. On your xbox go to my games and apps and see if it is in the ready to install section and download it. On pc go to the store app and in the upper right
corner where your profile is click on your profile and choose download and updates then check and see if the game is in there and click on the little arrow to download. Hopefully this helps. To play the game on pc go to the xbox app and click on the games
tab then click play and it should start up.

Been reading Forza 7 will be around 100gb.

I know. I've already heard some gripes about the hard drive size on the Xbox One X. People with bad internet and data caps will be going balistic if they get their games digitally.

 

They should put a picture of an old 1200 baud modem and a bake-o-lite phone with a big red line through it on the box. Then add in five languages: if you are still on dial-up, buy at own risk.

 

Fallout 4 on the PC has a 4k high resolution texture pack that comes in at 58gb in size, so it's not beyond the realm of expectation to think that the Xbox One X will have similar sizes for its texture packs..

I am fortunate to have unlimited internet but many people still have to suffer data caps, I dread to think what this is going to do those people.

 

I have Vodafone NZ 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload, unlimited monthly data. I heard Australia is only mobile internet?

ADSL Broadband is slow, only averaging 7-14mb/s download and barely 0.9mb/s upload speed.

VDSL is some supped up ADSL, but it's not much better than ADSL, especially in the upload department.

High Speed Cable, and Fibre Broadband, are the best.

Microsoft adamantly quoted, that they have over 300,000+ servers worldwide for Xbox One. Microsoft only has 15,000 servers worldwide for Xbox 360.

However, the INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE is not ready for 4k!!! lol. And that's a big fat fact. Otherwise people who live in cities all over the world, have trouble connecting with each other in multiplayer sessions, having high pings (anything above 18ms).
Our planet is huge. It takes 3 hours to fly to Australia and for NZ/Australian citizens, it takes 12 hours to fly on a plane to the UK/US. As soon as Xbox One came out, the vast majority of people had a hissy about the larger game file sizes. COD's are like
40's GB, Forza 35GB. Not to mention a cutscenes-only DLC to the game Quantum Break is 1080p as a whopping 75GB big.

Good news! Xbox One will have a 4k Blu-ray disc drive. So disc options will not be fazed out with Xbox One X.

I'm sure the can compress the file sizes to those 4k textures. And then Xbox One X can unzip those files or thingy.

 

You are lucky if 1200 baud - I am still on 75/1200 baud modem.

Download sizes are a mess already - and if they expect any game adapted for X1X 4K also be same rediculous size for X1 - then Xbox is a vanishing breed.

It should even sense that you run 1080p and only download what is needed for that.

And still wondering about BC - will both 360 and X1 games install on X1X as they are - or silly downloads sizes yet again.

If X1X though has a smart compatibility mode like PC settings has - then X1X is a purchase here.

I just hate these giant downloads - even for patches on some games.

I will probably have a new simcard and ISP with better performance here today - so invest a little to get better internet.

I think MS should incorporate a service with getting game downloads home on a disk - if having a Gold membership.

That alone would be worth that money - even paying some postage for disks sent.

 

I remember a conversation, many, many moons ago, it may have even been before the Xbox One and PS4 came out, and some people on this forum, Who will remain un-called out (Not a word. LOL) said i was being silly and stupid to say games would get up to 100GB.
And i pointed out the rise since the early Amiga/Atari 2600 days when game sizes were 720kb..... Yes one single sided disk.

And i said that in no uncertain terms, if you want better textures and higher resolution, and bigger games then you would have higher GB count.

Oh you naysayers, what do you have to say now.............

On a serious note, i feel sorry for the Americans and any other country where your Broadband providers abuse you. Thankfully here in the UK, you would be hard pressed to find a provider that doesn't offer unlimited Data. And i mean that. It's about time
the American Govt stood up for their people and their right to have a decent broandband

 

The majority of the internet infrastructure here in the U.K. is quite capable of handling 4K & that's a big fat fact.

Never heard of South Korea where they get download speeds of 1000mb ?

I'm on 200mb download which will handle 4k quite well thank you.

Yeah,& they don't use cars either,they still travel around in horse & carts.

The major problem in the US is it's size. Quite easy to roll out fiber to every household when your country (UK, South Korea, etc.) is about the same size as San Bernardino county, the largest of 57 counties in the state of California. Most major cities
have fairly decent internet. Getting to the last 20% out in the boondocks is what really costs a lot. Of course, our ISPs are crappy though.

Just ran a test here...58 down, 12 up, 14 ms ping..That is over my wifi through my ipad. Guessing it might be a bit faster plugged directly into the console (I don't use wi-fi on the console). About 55.00 a month for that. Supposedly a 250GB per month cap,
I have never gone over that amount, know people who have and have not been penalized or charged extra, so maybe it is a "soft" 250GB per month cap?
