Get my GT name back

Hello,

In 2009 I first got Xbox live and I made the gamertag: . Somehow in setting up the account I screwed up and couldn't use the account. I made a new one and went on with it. Over the years I've wanted my old gamertag name back. So I thought that
if I deleted the email off of the gamertag it would delete the account. ( I was younger and made a dumb mistake) Now the gamertag exists still and I have no way to get control of the account again to change it myself even. I'm asking is there anyway someone
can delete the account permanently so I can get my gamertag back? The account has been inactive pretty much since 2009. It has nothing on it thats important other then the name itself.

Please help,

Gamertag Change When Not Approiate

My name was changed to From Selling Routers when there was no problem wit my gt and no one ever had a problem with my name. I would like the opportunity to get my gt back or at least a free name change.

 

My gamer tag was changed to a random generated one

so i just logged in today onto my account and for some reason my gamer tag was changed to a random generated name. And when i try to change it back it says my original name isn’t available? Any ideas on how to get my gt back and what might have happened?

 

There is no way you would have been able to remove the email from the account without adding a new one to the account.

If your not sure what email is on the account you can get ahold of xbox support by going to support.xbox.com and if they can verify ownership of the account then they can tell you what email is associated with the gamertag.

Or you can try the old email and go to account.live.com/acsr and try and recover the account.

 

I will try that thank you and im almost 100% positive I deleted the email and didnt replace it with another one.
