Get different prices on digital games.

Hi today I was checking the Xbox store and noticed that halo 5 digital deluxe edition was $44.96 and the fallout 4 digital deluxe edition was $49.98, but when I went to buy them the price changed to a more expensive price. I've spoken to Xbox support and
got told to post here. My reference number is [mod removed].

Digital games more expensive than physical games?!?

You would think in 2016 digital downloads would be cheaper?

That's very different. So if ms dropped the price of digital games, there would be a backlash? I don't think so.

Not dumb at all. Look at the pricing difference on digital PC games vs digital console games. On average you are looking at £10 difference.

A Dragon Age: Inquisition download key for example can be bought for as little as £26.99. Good luck finding it for that price digitally on the consoles.

don't think it makes a difference weather you get a game on disk or digitally. shopping around for the best price is the best thing to do. sometimes there will be a sale digitally so get it there other times it will be cheaper to get on disk.

just gonna toss this out there... pricing is based on demand, not cost... simply put, selling a few extra digital games by adjusting the price down to whatever the price difference might be, is totally neutral for them, meanwhile, they are absolutely selling
plenty of digital games as is.

When the games in the UK haven't got release dates, they are listed upto £54, however the prices go down towards the release date, so while they can be listed at higher prices they generally aren't sold for that amount in the UK.

This is very likely to drop the nearer it gets to launch.

However Digital games on the other hand the prices have increased, and in the US there is no price difference between physical and digital, however in the UK the digital price is much higher than physical.
