Get destiny cheaper AND for both consoles

Hey everyone, some people know about this and some do not ( I did not). But purchasing the 360 version will give you the xbox one version (when purchasing on xbox live marketplace) I do believe it is cheaper this way and allows you to play with people
who may not have purchased the xbox one yet.

Kind of messed up that you would sell the game for 60 on one section of the site and make it cheaper on another part of the site

But stop wasting money buying this game for the one when you can get it cheaper on the 360 and get the free upgrade anyway.

Destiny Cheaper Price?

So i've got a theory, but no one else online seems to have tested it out so I'm scared because i don't want to waste my money

I've seen there is a deal on Destiny in which you can upgrade your game to next gen for apparently "completely free"

Destiny is £20 (or so) cheaper on the xbox 360 compared to the xbox one.. so.. TECHNICALLY Couldn't you buy it digitally on the 360 rather than xbox one and just have the game on both systems for £20 less?

 

Will own both consoles

Titles I have interest in not available on PS4: Dead Rising, Forza, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, Project Spark, PvZ:GW, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, D4, Halo, Gears of War, Crackdown, Fable. Just off the top of my head.

Titles I have interest in not available on XB1: Infamous & The Order. However that is very little interest because the is no online features for those so I can wait a few years until they get cheap & used.

At this point all the games I enjoy can be played online with friends and since Xbox has the best online service and the majority of the games they release feature online modes, it keeps me well entertained.

 

Oh, I do not believe you need a 360 to take advantage of this. You should be able to purchase on the site.

 

Why is it cheaper on the site than it is buying it straight from the console

 

If you don't need a 360 to take advantage of it... what's the point?! Are you going to play it on your non-existent Xbox 360??

@TuKeyan -- It is the same price (console or website). The One and the 360 version are also the same price. The only difference being that if you buy it on the 360, you can upgrade (for free) to the One. It's a good deal if you plan on getting a One soon.
I, personally, just bought it for the One as I can't really be bothered to play this game on one console, let alone 2. =/

^^ Can you rephrase your question so it makes a little more sense. I think you're missing a word.

 

I believe this promotion is only for Xbox 360 version to Xbox one version. It's meant to be a upgrade for people who don't have the Xbox one but might get one this holiday season. As far as I know you can not but a Xbox one version and downgrade and get
the Xbox 360 version. Also I believe this promotion only runs until sometime in January 2015
