Get code after buying an Xbox one CD game

Hello,

I just bought an EA sports game on Xbox one, but after 50+ tries there is no way my CD can be recognized so I cannot install & play the game.

I tried a lot of things and the best solution for me is to get a download code (this way I don't need the CD or the disc reader to work). I contacted EA sports & the website that sold me the game but none of them can help me with that. Is it possible that Microsoft
helps in this case? I obviously won't buy the same game twice (need the digital version)

There is a FAQ section called "Game Disc Exchange Program" but there isn't any contact or CTA I can go to?

Unfortunately the only way to exchange it would either be through the retailer you purchased it from or if EA has a program to do that. Through Microsoft you would have to purchase the game digitally in order to own the digital version.

The Game Disc Exchange Program would not apply in this case since the game was published by EA and not Microsoft.

Nope they can only replave the disc with a disc

There is no law in the world that would do what you want

Game disc replacement program is to replace discs with a new discs it would be thru the publisher EA in this case not for digital codes

There are somethings digital exhange offers but those are rare and only ms did it for the halo 4 legendary editions

EA told me they can't and that I should see with the retailer. One last question then: do you know if the retailer has some sort of duty to also provide a download code? Or would it be legal if they say it is CD only?

I initially thought there might be a DLC for each game CD that is outthere. Anyway I really appreciate your reactivity and clear answer
