Get child account off my account

When my daughter was young, I got her an Xbox Live Gold account and it was "under" my account. I would (and still do) get emails regarding when it was going to expire, etc. I have always found this to be annoying, as these emails never differentiate between
the two accounts; it is always addressed to me and refers to "your" subscription.

So now that she is older, I want her to manage her own account and I want it completely unlinked from mine. I have a looked in my Xbox account and can not, for the life of me, find out how to do this. Could someone tell me how to go about doing this?

I need to change the restrictions on a child account but have forgotten my email to sign in into my adult account and cannot figure out how to get it back because the child account deleted my account off the xbox one

• First, you have to go to the My Account page
• You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.
• Go to Settings and Preferences and select Privacy and Online Settings.
• Now change the settings.

• Proceed to Settings and Privacy and press Child.
  
  Note: You’ll be asked for the parental Microsoft account in order to make changes to the child account’s safety settings.
  
• Now change the settings.

 

If the age of her account is 18, you can promote her account to an adult account -

support.xbox.com/.../promote-child-account

If she's under 18, the account will still be a child account.

 

She'll be 18 next month, so that explains why I couldn't find this. Thank you!

 

While you wait, you can edit your daughter's contact email to set it to her own so she receives such notifications. This can be easily set by signing into her profile on the Xbox and going to Settings --> Account --> Billing Information, enter her password,
and you can set the email, which Xbox uses to send notifications about impending renewals, charges, and cancellations.
