get black screen when try to load apps or games

Games and apps

My games and apps won't load up and when I try to play a game it goes into a black screen and then after a few minutes it tells me "For some Reason (Game) took to long to start." I waited a few days and nothing has happened. I also can't see my games and
apps to delete them all please help.

I have a similar issue. For me when the game launches it either stays at a black screen or gets to a loading screen but never loads

 

The workaround I found and is working for me since yesterdeay is the following

1. Turn Xbox on

2. Disconnect wifi/cable

3. Clear Cache.

4. Turn off and on again without connecting the internet.

The bad side is that you will not be able to play multiplayer games, but if you're playing offline singleplayer (like me) at least you will be able to play. I have not tried reconnecting internet because of fear of the problem returning. If somebody wants
to try it out and posts results it would be appreciated.

Every time a black screen appears when I try to launch games and I cannot play games for 3 days. This is very annoying.

 

To the people who formatted their HDDs... Why did you not do a little research first instead of formatting drive and then coming here to complain that this issue forced you to format your drive. If you know how to format your drive than you should know not
to do it unless you absolutely have to.

People are complaining because Xbox Live is having issue and they can't play their paid game or live service. Boooooohoooo I paid for the game and services as well and you know what stuff like this happens. Its technology its not going to work 100% of the
time. 10 years ago we wouldn't even know how to complain about this because the technology wasn't there.

From what I can see there seems to be a few simple workarounds - turn off auto sign, put profile on thumb drive or external HDD, turn off WiFi or unplug Ethernet. People seem to be reporting that they are using these workarounds for the time being.

I played GTA V online yesterday and it worked. Woke up today and it didn't. I tried powering on and off and then got on google - not format my drive. I found a solution in a matter of minutes and guess what I'm playing GTA V.

Its out of our control and they are working to fix it so let's keep finding work around and sharing them instead of conplaining about how its been THREE whole days. The world isn't going to end.

 

Same issue today (8/2), yesterday (8/1), and Wednesday (7/31)... HELP!!! This is bull. Games and netflix / other apps after selected go black screen... never load. You can get in game console popup, but can't return to desktop or it freezes.... and you
basically have to shut off xbox.

Also noticed ... issue WILL happen if you load dashboard and see "swirling circles" (aka loading images / video) on the "games" and "tv & movies" pages for the upper right and center right items.

 

I can only play offline, this is serious cr#p! 3 days offline, where the hell am I paying for?

For those who whats to play offline, disconnect you're internet, do not sign in with a profile, start the game en then you can sign in to you're profile.

 

At least sony communicates about disrusptions...going to reconsider getting an xbox one now.

 

When the Xbox One was released in November of 2013 MS decided to use methods to spy on people with (Kinect) and try and control the way people use Xbox One online people refused to buy it. It's no secret that since the release of the XBO console, their sales
have been dismal, and shaky at best. People are hanging onto their 360s and Microsoft and its developers don't want that. They want people to buy the XBO and dump the 360 and what better way to try and get people to do that than to sabotage their Xbox Live
connection?

There are and always will be problems with network connections, and I have no problem with dealing with the inconveniences of that for a few hours. But it has been 3 days now and this problem still remains unsolved, unfixed.

It's rather odd that after years of Xbox Live chugging along with only few minor problems along the way, all the sudden it no longer works for 360s users?

I don't think so.

Not only will I NOT buy another Xbox console of any kind, I will NOT buy another year of Xbox Live.

If I buy another console it will be a PS4!

Yea, I'm about to say "F Microsoft" I got a 2 day trial the day this stuff started happening. Guess what? Its gone now, and didn't get to play a single game. As SilentSoulStorm said, "coffee break's over." This is my week off work and this is what you a*******
