Which says the default install directory can't be changed while in use, and for some reason the app keeps changing my default directory to C:\XboxGames even though I have never installed anything there. The only way I've been able to update any of my games is to uninstall the app, restart the PC, and then reinstall it. As soon as another game update comes I have to do it again. Installing a game doesn't cause any issues, and deleting one trying to update and reinstalling it also works.

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

Being in use the system will ask if the user wants to check the chosen drive after reboot. Just type S and restart the computer.

So, that didn't work. Still getting error 0x80070020 for literally no reason, and it's still reinstalling my games for no reason.

For PC it's didn't work. I restart the PC several time.

I restart the app several time, alway's the same error :

When ever I click on the button re-download, same error : 0x80070020

It's a specific error code, so some one from Microsoft should know what is the exact problem no?

Every other game, or service work. I can install a new game, play an old installed game.

So Xbox service is up and running.

Every time I get an 0x80070005 code I had to uninstall the last Windows/Xbox Game Pass App update and reinstall. For some reason that always seems to do the trick for me. In fact I had to do it last night when it suddenly shut down My Time at Portia on
me mid game. Every time I tried to relaunch the game it would give me the 0x80070005 error code or try to pull up a Microsoft store page. Once I did the uninstall and reinstall of the most recent update, it worked fine.
