  2. Hello "Z4ZonE" and "CloudStrife 900" Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

My Falcon Chipset model is my 7th console and the Jasper Model is my 8th console. I've had an Xbox 360 for a LONG time, but was off-line. My first console was the Elite Zephyr Chipset model (This is where I got my 20 GB HDD that I am still using now).
I have been through 2 broken DVD Drives and 4 Red Rings Of Death. The Xbox 360 is my favorite console of all time Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

    Thank you CloudStrife.

Hey Lei Fang, the consoles that you have, with the chips that your talking about, is that an actual chip in the console that makes it better, or is it a shell for the console with a design?

Hello "Z4ZonE" Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

I am talking about the actual Chipset that is inside of the console. Based on the articles that I've read, the Falcon and Jasper perform better due to requiring less power (thus helping the console stay cooler). The Zephyr required a lot of power, hence
the reason for the massive system failure rate of the launch Xbox 360.

  6. Z4ZonE, following up on Lei Fang's comment,

The original Xbox 360 had 3 or four revisions to the motherboard. One that had no HDMI(Xenon) a revised version of that with HDMI(Zephyr), and version using a smaller cpu chip (used less power and made less heat, Falcon that LF DOA speaks of) and finally
the Jasper that used the smaller cpu chip and a smaller gpu as well, the most reliable of the original style 360's. Jaspers can be recognized by the built in flash memory (originally 256MB, later switched to 512MB). I had a Zephyr that red ringed, but I have
had a Jasper system that I recently gave to a family member that is still going strong.

I don't know if this is going to sound off topic, but you seem to know a bit about computers. I have been wondering this for a long time, but have not asked anyone because I don't know if they know, but I will ask you.

Is it possible to build a supercomputer, then somehow get xbox 360 games, ps3 games, (and even ps4 and xbox one if possible) to all work. but I mean like striping the frame off the console, and taking all the parts needed and entering them into the supercomputer
and having everything work perfectly? and if it is possible but you would need other parts, what parts would you need?

Yeah the chip sets and all that just go way over my head so I think its very safe to say that you know a lot more than me about the console specs lol!

  9. Technically some crazy gaming computer could be made in a couple of ways. Having a system with multiple chips from different systems (that's how PS3 originally handled PS2 backwards compatibility first batches of PS3 had the PS2's processor inside of them).
Or by software emulation, having software that can play games for other systems(Xbox 360 used this for backwards compatibility with the original Xbox and there are tons of emulators for older consoles now). BOth have problems, but I'm not technically inclined
enough to really detail them. But I'm pretty sure its theoretically possible, not easy or even necessarily worthwhile but possible none the less.

  11. Hello "Z4ZonE" Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

From my experience with the Xbox 360 Backwards Compatability, it is very difficult to get an emulation to run absolutely flawlessly. Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf (Original Xbox game) runs flawlessly on the Xbox 360 (because Microsoft made the game) while games
like Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 2 (Original Xbox game) is quite literally unplayable.

Hello "Nemesis121804" Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

Thank you for the extra Information, I really appreciate it Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

I think that the reason that Microsoft produced Backwards Compatability games have such a successful emulation rate is because they have access to the complete database of that game (like I've mentioned before, take a look at Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf) while
Non-Microsoft games (again, like Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 2) leaves whoever is working on the emulator with major problems because they do not have full access to that game's database.

Hello "CloudStrife 900" Get a xbox 360, or stick with my xbox one? :)

From what I was ableo to read, the Xbox 360 Zephpyr Chipset models was literally cooking their motherboards because the heat produced by its high power demands was too much for the exhaust fan to handle; hence my guess is that by combining the less power
demanding chipsets(Falcon and Jasper) with a better fan, the consoles lasted much longer / had a better chance of surviving.

I would say get it cause I wouldn't hold my breathe on the One becoming backwards compatible. As for the gig size it all depends on how many games you are going to be playing/buying/installing. I have a filled 320 but I also have a crap ton of games.

    Hello "thedrummer1000" :)

I have the "Falcon" and "Jasper" chip set Xbox 360 and they're very reliable. Unfortunately, I still have the original 20 GB HDD (I am using two 32 GB Flash Drives with it) and they're plenty sufficient for my needs :)
