Get a Settlement Up To 100 Happiness

Anyone here get this yet? Try for it?

I've read some "methods" online. Currently, I'm using Abernathy Farm. I have 6 settlers there, built 4 Tier 3 Clinics, 1 Tier 3 Restaurant, 80 defense, 8 beds, 9 water and a crapload of paintings. The happiness meter started at 60 and has been slowly
going up. Turned it off last night when it was at 97 and the arrow was still pointing up. Hoping it unlocks today.

Did you leave the settlement while trying to get the achievement? If you did, your settlers lose happiness when you leave.

It is ridiculous and can take a VERY long time to get.

 

Make sure the stores have a resource allocated as well as the correct number of food allocated. Settlers who are not actively working are not as happy as they could be.

 

I did it at Red Rocket with 3 settlers. One took care of the mutfruit, one worked in a level 3 bar and the other worked in a level 3 medical clinic. The only decoration I added was my bobble head display. I took about six hours of play time to go from 50%
to 100%.

195 defense (I don't think it's needed, I just like missile launchers)

 

I wound up getting it at Abernathy. It was just a REALLY slow grind.

I had 6 settlers, 6 food, 9 water, 80 defense, 8 beds, 3 power, a crapload of wooden crates and a bunch of paintings.

It would jump from 60-->64-->68-->72, but once it got to 93 it would only go up by 1 every couple in-game days.

The beginning happiness value may be lower because you might have ignored attacks on that settlement during your play through. But the overall starting happiness is not a big deal I used Croup Manor 75% starting Happiness (in the north east on an island).
It will get to 100% by doing the things below.



You will need:

• 1 Settler (it can be moved from another settlement)
  
• 1 Sleeping Bag
  
• 1 Machinegun Turret (5 Defense).
  
• 1 Bar level 2 or 3 (I used lvl3)
  
• Local Leader Rank 2 perk
  
• This needs to be a large settlement; the settlement size is purely related to the bar in the upper right corner not the number of building or the amount of land. Gather enough wood to SPAM a stockpile of wooden crates (or anything for that matter) until
  you can NOT build anything else and the size bar is maxed out (it will turn orange with the default color scheme when maxed).
  
• Transfer at least 20 purified waters and 20 values of food items (I used Mutfruit, value =1 per fruit) into the workstation. You do not need to have anyone farming.
  

To simplify this you can choose Red Rocket and scrap everything and build the above items. Put the Machinegun on the roof, create a ton of wooden crates to get the settlement size bar maxed out and invite a settler, and assign them to the bar.
Then go paly the game as you would normally the achievement will pop as you play.



Some people use a sleep and wait method but it takes about the same amount of time playing the game to do the sleep and wait method as it does to just play normally. So I say just play the game and you will get the achievement while killing some
raiders or looting some mini nukes
