German Xbox one in US

Hi Folks

does a Xbox one imported form Germany work in US? including all features like Bluray discs, Netflix and others? or just Xbox games since them are region free?

any clue will be appreciated

In Addition - It's buyable on the US Store, but not on the German one. :-(

It's my understanding that any region restrictions are based more on the Xbox Live account then the location of the Xbox. May I suggest that you follow up with "How
to update your Microsoft account if you’re moving to a new country or region", you may have to run your Xbox Live account through the

migration process .

Xbox One consoles are region-free (it is not divided into NTSC/PAL versions), and all Xbox One games are region-free.

Movies are a different story. The Xbox One is manufactured with Blu-Ray drives that would only play movies that use the region code the console was originally sold in (in your case, region "B" or "2" for Blu-Rays or DVDs).

Original model Xbox Ones that use the external power supply may also be subject to limited regional usage because there are different versions of the power supply that support different voltage standards. I believe Germany uses 220-240V, while the US uses
100-120V. Look at your power supply's specifications; if it doesn't support the US voltage range, you will need to get it replaced. Contact Xbox Support via chat or phone to arrange a replacement PSU.

Note: For the Xbox One S, the internal power supply should support most, if not all world voltage standards.

you use 220v in the uk? if so i think you only need the plug adapter and youre good to go

Hi there,

a regular Xbox One console (or Xbox 360 console) will need a proper power supply that meet the requirements for the specific power specifications used.

For example Germany uses 230 volts, while US use 110. Which is most likely why the console doesn't work.

If it's an Xbox One S or Xbox One X, they have an internal power supply which as far as I know should work in any region.
