    Geometry Wars backwards compatibility gone?


    During the preview program of backwards compatibility, Geometry Wars Retro Evolved worked fine. Recently, my Xbox One had to get sent in to Microsoft for repairs and my Xbox One's hard drive was wiped for some reason. I'm pretty sure Geometry Wars was installed
    to my external HDD. However, after I got my Xbox back, I tried to run the game but it said I needed to insert my disc even though I own it digitally. I figured it might've been corrupted somehow so I uninstalled it hoping to reinstall it to fix it. After uninstalling
    it, I've been unable to re-download Geometry Wars. It doesn't show up anymore in my list of games ready to install. On my Xbox 360, the games on my 360 that are backwards compatible have an "Xbox One" label on them but Geometry Wars does not. I also don't
    see Geometry Wars on the official list of backwards compatible games anymore. Did something happen to it? Was it removed?

    Just to reiterate what the person above me said, you are currently not able to play just any Xbox360 game on Xbox One as a Preview Member. Here is the full list of the games that are working as of now:

    Geometry Wars Retro Evolved no longer launching on x1.

    He's referring to Geometry Wars Retro Evolved which is the first title. It was backwards compatible at one point but has since been removed from the BC site and won't launch on Xbox one consoles.

    It will be backwards compatible to some extent. I mean it's safe to say that huge games such as Halo and Gears of War will be backwards compatible.
