So i'm getting a gift from canada of Xbox One S.

My sister will send me the Xbox Gold Live Subscription with it...(purchased in canada), along with few games like Call Of Duty MW.

I live in india. So i had this question, will this work?

Like i know surely the Xbox will work, but what about the subscription? And will the games work in india(being another country).

I recently set my account region to canada can that help?

Someone please help..!

Btw its my first Xbox!!

Hi there! Upon research of your question, Some Xbox Live cards may be region locked. I would change the Microsoft Store region to Canada if your current Xbox Live account region rejects the card upon redeeming it. Please follow this guide below for the Xbox
One to ensure the subscription works with the Xbox Live account.

Sign in to your Xbox One console.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings >
System > Language & location.
Select your new location from the Location list, and then select
Restart now.

To your question about if games will work with it from your region, the answer is yes! Xbox One consoles are region free.

Yeah just had my locked geolocated achievement pop about 5 minutes ago as well

so this has happened to me now. The Geolocated achievement is locked for me even though it says 100% completed.

@neko it wouldnt matter if you changed to uk You are failing the region check fir the german content thats why its not completing

You would have to match uk account plus uk geolocation and uk content (repurchased as the region lock content doesnt transfer between regions)
