    General TV Tuner query


    Hi all, i have just purchased an Xbox One Digital TV Tuner from Ebay and it arrived today. unpacked it and did exactly as the instructions stated, (plug coaxial cable into device, then plug into Xbox One). However it does not recognise the device at all.
    Previously i have had problems in USB on Xbox One not recognising USB drives or sticks, but it does after a few attempts.

    I thought it may have been something i was doing wrong, so i went to setting and TV Tuner settings, but when i get to the section when it asks to plug in the Tv Tuner it does nothing after i have plugged it in.

    The device is brand new, never been used, and looking at it there is no noticable issues with it( wires missing or cut, device damaged etc.) so i am stumped.

    i have tried all USB ports on the Xbox One, but no success. any advise?

    Smartglass and TV Tuner == crash

    Hi,

    i have problem with the TV Tuner Combined with the smartglass.

    Everytime the Smartglass App crashed, if the tv tuner is connected. So i cant use the streaming function and cant general use the smartglass app.

    I have an Sony Xperia Z1 Compact with Android 4.4.4 and the last XBox One Update.

    Pls help me or fix it

    Does the Xbox One TV Tuner support QAM?

    USB Digital TV Tuner no longer finds any channels after disconnecting, reconnecting and rescanning

    This may be irrelevant, but I have a question about the TV tuner. I understand that you plug the tuner into the XB1 through USB, not HDMI. I have an Xbox 360 hooked up to my XB1 through the HDMI-in port. In order to play 360 games, I have to use the TV app,
    and the TV tuner uses the TV app as well in order to work. I also understand that when you plug in the TV tuner, the OneGuide separates the TV tuner channels from the "HDMI content". My question is this: if I have a TV tuner with a coax cable connected through
    the XB1's USB port AND an Xbox 360 connected through the XB1'S HDMI-in port (both at the same time), can I switch between my Xbox 360 and my TV tuner when using the TV app? Thanks for the help!

    Hey Natsu3230! Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm from the Forums team and would be happy to help. First, I would like to ask what is the specific TV tuner that you purchased?

    The link one of the Ambassadors provided above is a good article to help set up the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner, which is an official tuner made by Microsoft and as mentioned before, it's only available for limited regions, and Singapore is not listed there.
    This article is a more general troubleshooting page for third party over-the-air TV tuners. However, the first sentence does mention that customers
    from the US and Canada can access over-the-air TV using third party tuners or antennas, but no mention of Singapore unfortunately.

    I would recommend looking over that article either way and see if it helps at all. Let me know if anything on there can clear things up!

    Cant get live tv working

    no there are no problems when i use the tv tuner for OTA Tv. it displays the channels correctly and views them in great quality. Unless the tv tuner is required for use with the STB though i wont be using it.
