General Problems with new Xbox One

Hi Everyone,

This past Christmas I got my family an xBox One with Kinect and also the Live Gold Membership. I am still fumbling through some things and not sure if some of the things are because of me or actual bugs in the system.

The unit was originally setup with an email account I have at gmail. I am dumping that account and replacing it with one from Outlook.com.(As a .Net developer, I want to stick to MS products). Is this possible? From what I have seen online, it is not.

In January/February I setup an account at Outlook.com for my 7 year old son and set him up as a family member in xbox. The problem is all the games he has been playing have been saved under my login. I don't want him to loose the things he has worked on.
How do I transfer his saved games from my account to his?

We are noticing that if my son walks into the room while I am logged in, the moment Kinetic sees him, it overrides my authority as the Adult as filters content appropriate to his age. As a result, everything from searching movies, watching tv, to making
purchases has become a royal pain. This SHOULD NOT be happening!

Xbox will sometimes ask me to grant my son permission to use an app(netflix, etc) by entering my password. When I do, I select the "It's ok for him to use in the future...don't ask again" option. Xbox is not retaining that permission and continues to
ask the next time he uses it.

Despite the appropriate age restrictions being set in xbox, my son is being denied access to games(Mine Craft, Lego Marvel). I having to sign in form him.

Lastly, and this is more of a "How To" question. Is there a way to tell xBox to load an app at startup, like in Windows? I would like Skype to be active, regardless of who logs in, and right now I am having to manually start it.

You have understood I have already try clearing the console cache before reinstall the update and the general xbox live update.

You think the probleme could be done by the hard drive, I go make the test with a new HDD but before buy one new, If my HDD was defective, is it possible that it don't work just for this game ?

1. It's not currently possible to change emails associated with a gamertag, unless you have the Xbox 360 consoles, I believe this will eventually become a feature on the Xbox One.

2. If you're son originally played on your account then you cannot transfer those saves to his account as that's essentially save sharing, which is against the rules.

3. You can manage his online security and privacy settings following the steps at the link, this should enable him to view the content you deem appropriate:

4. Maybe the online privacy and security will clear this up, not sure.

5. Again, content settings may help with this.

6. As far as I'm aware, that is not possible, you could have your console set to the instant-on setting which will basically keep apps and games active while the console is 'off'

Hm, with an old controller (came with Xbox one x) I never had a drift issue. I noticed it with a new one. But just slightly to the east and only in Borderlands 3. But, there is a problem, yes. So, I went back to the old one and no problems. (2 years old).
Not just the box, controllers, in general, are in bad shape all around. I hope that will be fixed with the new generation.

If Project Scarlett gonna be a new generation console probably not, like now you have Xbox One vs 360, which doesnt have crossplay. Xbox One X, One S, One S All-Digital are not new generation, are just a hardware upgrade so the content are available with
Xbox One (Fat). The confirmation is wait to be if is gonna to be really a new generation console.

Ignore the original post usual Dollarsoft fanboy praise. If you been round for a bit then Nintendo had a quality seal on most of their games back in the N64 days. Rare was one of the top games developers in the world even Nintendo was scared in the quality
of their games hence why they bought shares in the company. There was some bloody good games back then and Microsoft was still doing thier windows thing or designing it anyway. Pilot Wings, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong Racing, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Zalda,
Wave Race, Golden Eye won awards, Gemini ? Nintendo Tennis, Snes Star Wars, it was about games back then. Microsoft destroyed Rare, Populous, Resident Evil, Tekken, Tomb Raider, Midi evil, i grew up with that. in my mind Nintendo are the god fathers of games.
Microsoft just bought into that nothing more. Yes they bought Halo to the masses with Bungie. But since then not done a huge lot!

Evil you are in denial. Simple. No one at Sony has said they are doing anything to annoy me yet, while M$ has said more than enough. I am not stupid enough to trust Sony either. Both need to say more but at the moment in this fight N$ are on the ropes with
their machine. I am not sure if I will use either machine and may well stick to a PC gaming system. At least I do not get messed about with my bought games, like this M$ foolishness and I can play off line, without stupid drm etc.
