Gears Tactics (Specifically) Will not download

It's been 24 hours and it's currently at less than 1GB of download. Microsoft updates are going through just fine (and even taking precedence). I've also downloaded other games to see if it would work and although it's not particularly fast it at least
managed in a 'reasonable' time. Gears Tactics, however, won't. I've attempted updating windows, my drivers, changing download speed settings, and even switching to the Microsoft store versus using the xbox beta, which was equally unreliable.

Appreciate the assist. Unfortunately, those fixes are still not working. It seems to be game specific.

Another thing to try would be this:

* Open Start and type "services" and open that app.

* Find "Windows Update" in the list and "Stop" the service (you can right click on it and select stop.

* Navigate to your Windows folder (usually on the C:/)

* Find the "Software Distribution" folder and rename it to "Software Distribution.old" This is to have a backup in the event something goes wrong.

* Restart your computer, and see if it updates after that?

That might have done it. Only reason I'd even changed that setting was it was one of the initial suggested fixes so that's amusing. Strange it oly affected this one particular game. It still gets that popular error message every 30 minutes but that's
easy enough to babysit. And every other game/app I've tried worked great do i don't see this being a common occurrence. Thanks for the assist, Palmetto.

Ok, so it is downloading, just very very slowly? Is this downloading to a primary drive or a secondary?

If it is downloading but slowly, can you check what your "Delivery Optimization" is set to?

In Windows 10 search bar, type: "Delivery Optimization" and select "Delivery Optimization settings"
if Allow downloads from other PCs is On,
1. Click PCs on my local network, if not already checked
2. Close window

3. If it is already Off or set to PCs on my local network only already, then this isn't your issue.

I saw this fix during my initial search and i had no luck with it, I'm afraid. I will probably just let it go for the next week and play something else at this point. It is up to 35 percent after leaving my computer running all night so that's... something?
