I'm looking forwards to having it again.

Before you removed me from your friends list because you didn't like something I said about "Forza" my wife used to chauffeur you the length and breadth of San Francisco Bay in "Defiance" and we had some good times.

Maybe that was just a dream as well.

Whatever it is that's making you so bitter, I hope you sort it out one day.

 

Maybe if your wife had a gamertag she would be on my FL, It was nowt to do with Forza Az, and certainly don't feel bitter towards you. Just calling it as I see it, you alluded in this thread to it being the fault of players if they got matched with
idiots as the Live system wouldn't let this happen, you stated you knew this because of your extensive play "back in the day" However your game history doesn't back this up.

The new game looks fantastic.

They have done a great job of bringing this up to date on the ONE.

 

Just saw tweeted on Bargain Game Offers.

Sainsbury's ( not sure if it's all stores ) will sell GOW ( doesn't say what edition but I'm guessing just the standard edition ) for £19.99 when you spend £50 or more on shopping.

Might be of use to some but it does say the offer ends at 4pm today providing they still have stock.

 

Not much point to getting the "Deluxe", "Double Deluxe" and "Ultimate Supreme Deluxe" version of "Gears" since all you get are skins for the guns and characters.

It's like Capcom charging you for DLC packs that allow you to change the colour of Blanka's underpants.

Tbh I did think about picking it up. I really enjoyed the story/campaigns on Gears ( Looking forward to seeing where GOW4 goes ) but not enough for another play through.

MP, as I said again to Mr Genchy yesterday, one of the reasons I struggled to get into it at the time was I didn't have many friends playing it. Also though and I don't know if it was just me but I did find the MP quite repetitive after a short time, which
to be fair can be said about a lot of games these days. It just seemed to me though, the game starts, everyone runs off to grab the best weapons, fight it out, rinse and repeat.

It still played great, looked fantastic and it played really smooth, dunno know it jus wasn't for me. As always though, if we all like the same thing ... ... ... ... ...

 

fired this up yesterday and it was absolutely perfect

I literally love this game as much as i did back in 04..

@Gench.. i think the only cheevo that required ranked was 'Seriously' as you needed 10k kills in ranked pvp (they might have added others in DLCs though).

Havent fired up MP yet but looking forward to doing so.

I just started playing this the other day. It's been so long since I played gears I was pretty rusty but it looks amazing on X1.

As for disabling party chat, I'm not really for or against it. I tend to lone wolf it most of the time. If I am out of a party I don't talk much anyways.
