Gears Of War Ultimate Edition Double XP Weekend!

I didn't say he had to do it in this thread... Jeez people, stop making assumptions! As for the double XP, it's not doing me any good, because there was almost nobody online last night - I spent 10+ minutes just trying to find a match (and yes, I'm talking
about GoW:UE here) with no luck. What happened since I was on last week? Are people too afraid of taking a hit to their rep or something (or is it because they actually DID take a hit to their rep)?

same here I bought GoW yesterday installed, updated, try to play game online and after a few seconds sometimes mins it just comes up with lost connection while in game, done this about 4 times in a row so I gave up after that lol

You might possibly be better once they fix it. Some pretty broken stuff right now but they know and are working on a patch. Boomshot a player and they just act like nothing happened. And point blank gnasher (twice) from behind and players not taking any
damage (and not with spawn protection). Not to mention winning 177 to 20 somthing and 2 players on the other team become invincible the rest of the way and they win 180-177. Even with 2 people on their team quitting once they started that stuff. Oh well,
Gears I guess.

Off-topic: Get a Windows 10 update and since the system has went back to some crazy things. Edge browser will not sign in on the forums and many things on sites no longer work. And it was taking 15 gb of 16 gb ram and told me my system was out of ram.
Kill Edge and the usages drops back to 1.7 gb. And the cpu drops from 100% to 1%. Other issues with it returned as well. All systems like this.

probs one of the updates causing a memory leak ?

yea I know what ya mean with edge that's why I gone back to using explorer 11in windows 10, edge is ummm ...

I've had both of these issues happen more times than I can even recall. Play 1 match and your shotty can't miss... very next match, you'd be better off throwing dry leaves at them.

I even did my own little 'test' of sorts last night. Was having a [not unusual at all] 'bad match' with the shotty, so I decided to see what would happen if I used LT from a distance, as opposed to waiting for them
to get close. I found out that I could literally snipe with the shotty. Using LT would make the targeting array turn red from something like 15 "game feet" away... but using LT while they were so close, you almost couldn't help but have them inside the targeting
array... and it wouldn't turn red at all.

Any idea on when this patch is due to be released?

@GG Maybe the servers were having trouble connecting to your dial up modem. Where you faxing at the time?

Nice to know if I was good at multiplayer, I only have gotten a whopping 1 kill on multiplayer. The game though is freaking awesome, can't wait till November when the vouchers or whatever Microsoft are calling them go out to download the originals when the
backwards compatibility update arrives in November.

About the double XP weekend: Timing is bad for me, since I'm playing Phantom Pain. But that's Ok. In multiplayer I'm the worst gamer you've ever seen.
