Gears of war series promotion

I recently bought the new gears of War 4 xbox one S, I'm told that either there would be a code in the box for the previous gear games or that I'll receive an message with the code. I didn't get the code box or via message. I'd lIke to get a code as soon
as I can, so I can start the series. (No point in playing 4, if I haven't played the others.)

After purchasing Gears of war 4 i got the gears of war series promotion the 1, 2,3 and Judgment but can't redeem them on Xbox Webpage and everytime i got the same message

thanks for your answer. I am brandnew to Xbox So i would like to play the whole gears of war series. But i am still unable to buy GW2 in the Xbox Store. Do you know when its possible? I dont want to start this franchise without the second part

If it's a code you get the MSG about the code waves starting in oct

If it is a disk you have to contact the retailer

 

That's how game companies handle it to avoid spaming their servers all at once

 

A spammed server will only make you.still wait for when there is a less waiting period which could be weeks if millions all got it at once it makes little sense

This way they can control.the amount t of download rwquests

 

If millions all got it at the same date or immediately on purchase launch day would be hectic not to mention it would crash the seetheres ypu would be waiting g weeks before you could download

A staggered release makes me ore sense

 

Ok, I didn't know that. I haven't had a console in a decade., so I'm new to all this. I kinda assume I'd still get a disc.
