Gears of War Remastered Collection

Genchy, it could happen but how would the timeline work? MS bought Gears in January 2014 and gave it to Black Tusk. It was my understanding that Black Tusk was to make the next Gears game and not a remake so who would be making the remake? I doubt Epic started
the project as they wanted to go a different direction. I expect to hear about the next Gears game at E3 this year and for it to come out Holiday 2016. It could leave Holiday 2015 for a remake but once again who is making it?

 

I have no issues with re-masters so long as they are deserving of them. Halo: MCC was worthy, Tomb Raider was worthy, I do not believe Saints Row 4 was deserving of a re-master (if you can even call it re-mastered). Gears of War is definitely deserving.
I am not clamoring for a Gears of War re-master. However, if it did happen. I would have it Day One.

most likely if it did happen, it wouldn't be black tusk. it would get contracted out. much like the halo:MCC there was like 4 companies working on it, 343 did very little to teh collection, all they really did was the menus and interface. Bluepoint would
be a good option. they made the 360 version of titanfall, as well as some HD collections for the PS3 (god of war and ICO)

@ Lord Dirt, do you mean enough time to make it before the next installment of Gears of War? Or enough time considering Gears of War 3 was released in Sept, of 2011?

I am not certain. I love Gears of War, but that may be to much Gears of War if they release in close proximity. We know Black Tusk is working on the next installment as we are writing. If a Gears of War re-master came out... this fall. That may be nice.
That is assuming that the next GoW will release around the end of next year...

 

Well this is the generation of remakes, so it is possible. I'm completely against it though. I rather have money and resources put into new experiences than crap I've already completed.

There is truly nothing wrong with re-masters. So long as they are done right, and within a certain time frame.

Halo CE was a great re-master

Splinter Cell HD Collection was not

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was a solid re-master

Saints Row 4 was not.

 

I'll pass..I love the series and the campaigns were great but never could get into the shotgun sliding multiplayer. The horde mode was pretty sweet though.

 

If there's a Gears of War announcement this year at E3 period i'll be happy!

Rather its a GoW 4 or a remaster, maybe both, i'm stoked to see what happens.

 

I don't think a remastered GoW collection could hurt. Especially if they unified and enhanced all of the multiplayer maps and modes.

GoW is 1 of the few game franchises where I was able to beat the game regularly - I beat the entire trilogy.

 

Im game really enjoyed the co op an i can see ms anouncing it this E3
