Gears of War: Private Matches

Hey everyone,

I am looking for 4-8 people to play some private games. The group I play with are on most nights from 8-11pm GMT.

Gears of War 3 is one of the few games to do that. To prevent the community from being split up online, DLC maps were free to play online if it was voted. You had to pay for it though if you wanted to play private matches with it.Click to expand... It did? I didn't even notice. Then again, I didn't play Gears of War online that much. Hopefully, the next Gears of War does that or does entirely free(including private matches).

Gears of War 3 Private matches tomorrow night - great success last couple of occasions we have played it so looking forward to a good night of chainsawing again...

Well the online for BF3 runs completely on dedicated servers. They probably don't have enough of them available so that everyone can be able to play private matches on them and they cost money to keep running. Gears of War 3 has dedicated servers for rank
matches and p2p for private. I don't see why they couldn't do that for BF3.
