Gears of War: Freeze and Crash After Last Update?

I was finishing gears 3 yesterday and the game freeze my console five times. I suspect that may have been last updated, as this did not happen before (had played half of the year before). I started Gear Judgement today and has the same behavior, crashes
the game and the console all the time. For my tests, only happens with backward compatibility games.

PS. I'm not user preview. I saw you have a topic about it here that is closed unsolved.

OS Unstable after november update

Has anyone else had OS lockups/crashes/freezes after the november update?

Happened to me 3 times after the last system update.

 

Crashing to dashboard in same place

Hello,

Gears UE crashes repeatedly in the same place. This has happened over the course of two days. When trying to load the China Shop level, it freezes after about two seconds of loading and after another 10 seconds goes by, it crashes to the dashboard. This
is during single player campaign, not online play. Support instructed me to uninstall and reinstall the game. This is happening now, but will take several hours.

Have you tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling back on? Sometimes that can resolve some of the behavior you're describing. If the issue persists after uninstalling and reinstalling, the next step I recommend is clearing your Xbox 360 Local Storage.
Note that this will not erase your game saves as they are stored in the cloud.

• Navigate to 'All settings' from the Xbox One guide.
• Within the settings screen, scroll down to 'System' and select 'Storage'.
• Within the storage settings screen, select 'Clear local Xbox 360 storage' and proceed to restart your console.

Not solved reinstall or clear storage, keeps crashing and restarting the console 5 in 5 minutes. I'm frustrated.

This makes it impossible to play these games of backward compatibility, only the xbox one games.

 

It appeared a console update for me today and after updated it seems now fixed the problem.

I was sadly mistaken. the problem continues.

 

I am having the same issue. Ive tried all solutions but nothing works. It is happening on both Gears of War 3, Ramms Shadow and Gears of War Judgement. Not surprising it affects Judgement as well as they are both running the Gears 3 engine.

Gears of War 2 ran like a charm on Xbox One tho.

 

Also ive found that some 360 games only run if they are installed on the local Xbox One drive. I have a 2TB external drive for my Xbox one games but Gears 2 and Zumas Revenge wouldnt work unless they were on my local drive.

 

I am seeing that same issue. Just to emphasize this is not just an app crash, but a hard lockup which causes the console to restart. For me it I saw it happening while playing Gears of War 3, RAAM's Shadow DLC.

 

same issue - but weirdly I find it's a LOT more prevalent if I play coop. I tried playing coop with a friend last night and it froze for each of us every 5 minutes or so making it unplayable. We both reinstalled the game and the problem persists. I tried
instead just playing single player and it only froze once in over an hour.

 

Confirmed it is a hard lockup of the console. Ive also tried all the options of uninstalling the game, clearing local 360 storage on the xbox one and deleting local saved games. Nothing works.

 

Everything leads me to believe it has to do with the recent update of the console, as before it never happened, I tried everything possible (delete save, clear storage cache, reinstall the game etc etc).

It is hope to correct ...
