Gears of War controller directional pad drift

    Gears of War controller directional pad drift


    I've had my controller for a couple months and the controllers directional pad started drifting this weekend. Constantly moves left. All the directions are unresponsive except the right which responds as left.

    It's the little grey cross looking thing on the bottom left part of the controller. Every controller for every console ever made has one. D-pad is short for directional pad.

    360 Pad With Rotational D-Pad

    Those "Gears of War 3" pads do seem to be... less robust than previous offerings.



    I have to use my old Elite pad for "Soul Calibur V". The Gears D-Pad feels like it can't take the "thumb-age" though I use the Gears pad for everything else.

    Controller stick drift - Needs Recalibration?

    I had this happened to my gears of war controller after accidentally dropping it and it landed on one of the sticks. It drifted something horribly, like the stick was stuck in the up position. I wasn’t able to fix the issue with mine, and your best option
    might be to replace the controller.
